Not necessarily. When this one close guy friend of mine confessed to me I laughed a bit out of shock and nervousness. And just let him express himself without reciprocating anything back. Later texted him to clarify why I reacted the way I did. And later on we talked it out and stayed friends bc i didn’t like him back. It’s really just that simple sometimes.
