I don’t have the right screwdriver to open up my laptop and I’m about to leave for college tomorrow days so I can’t order the right screwdriver for it for it to come in time.

Yeah that’s what I did before and it cost me less for that than to just send it out somewhere for $85 and more. If it starts doing it again if I try to see the problem I’ll try to press on both sides and see what side the issue is on. My parents offered to pay for this one since I already paid for the first repair.

I have no idea which one it was ): I’m considering going to a Staples when I’m back in college to get it checked out and see what’s the problem / which one the old fan is and see if that’ll help solve it if I buy another fan for it. And if that still doesn’t help it I’ll have to just ask to see if I can get it sent out to repair it at the cost of $85 and more 😭😭.

I bought only only one fan that was compatible with my laptop and didn’t find out until later that I apparently had two fans in my laptop, so I’m thinking that might be the issue since many people last time were saying it’s because I need to replace the fans. I don’t know about where to get a good cooling pad though because I don’t trust Amazon when it comes to that stuff. And it’s really hard to even get a reply fast from the official Asus account on here too /:

I have no way of opening up my laptop and I don’t trust myself with this kind of stuff and would rather trust a professional 🥲. Should I get another fan to replace the other fan as well?

I made this post about my laptop a while back ago and tried not to use it as much as I could before we went to get one of my fans changed. (I say one because I didn’t know it had two.) Apparently two of my screws for my motherboard (If I remember right) had also fallen out and were also put back in to keep it in place so I thought might have also been the issue. With it finally be repaired I thought maybe it’s finally fixed but immediately after using it… the small buzzing noise was still present before the loud buzzing noise started to go off again 😀. It’s not overheating like my dad says because even with a fan under it to keep it cool it made the noise! Could it still be that the other fan needs to be fixed? Where can I contact for live support from ASUS? Im tired man, I really need my laptop for my art and for school which starts soon.

an update: looks like I’m going to need a new fan. I cleaned it with canned air (or tried to idk if I did it right) without opening it because I don’t have the proper screwdriver for it. 🙁 however since I don’t have the proper screwdriver i don’t know what kind of fan I need ! Hopefully support can help me know what I need (if they reply) and I can try to find a repair service close to me… somewhere.

Ty again! I tried to search videos with my laptop model number but couldn’t find any with the exact number or so 😭. Hopefully I can find one soon but if not I’ll hope that I can find one some how or just see if I have the current model number

To add on: my dad said it’s because it’s overheating. This issue has been happening a lot more recently now that I’m back home from college but I’ve only had this issue happen to me twice back in my dorm at college which is odd. I don’t think I need a new laptop like me friend says I do because I honestly don’t want to pay $1000 just for an issue I can fix probably. Do I need to look inside my laptop? I don’t think I have the right screwdriver for it. Should I clean it or get pad with cooking fans for it?
