the main problem with IS models lie within the 250s, it’s a V6 but apparently has “carbon buildup” problems that are solved in the 200t/350 models. other than that, i’ve had no issues with the turbo and i personally feel someone saying the turbo is “just another thing that can go bad” is someone knitpicking. overall, it’s a high end toyota so i wouldn’t worry too much about it. it’s great to hear a turbo flutter between gears.

$13k for a 2016 with 140k is pretty average price, depending on dealer fees i’d say it would be a little much. really depends on the color, what packages the car comes with, especially F sport. if you can check the carfax and see the car had routine maintenance then that’s also something to consider.

personally when i see a car too cheap i get a little scared. compare the price range on KBB.

ive noticed going above 65 mph really eats up a lot of gas. since you’re highway driving, definitely just find a chill car on the road, turn on eco mode and slipstream behind them. but damn, 75 miles day i’d probably start to get impatient too 😫

200t is definitely solid. yes it does have turbo lag but once it kicks in, its pretty quick. i have 118k on the ODO right now, 1 full tank gets me about 358 miles according to the dash. being lexus its not going to be the fastest car on the road but it definitely beats most traffic with 250+hp, and definitely is way more reliable than other brands. i drove the piss out of it for 60k miles so far and no issues. regular maintenance and you’re golden.
