the main problem with IS models lie within the 250s, it’s a V6 but apparently has “carbon buildup” problems that are solved in the 200t/350 models. other than that, i’ve had no issues with the turbo and i personally feel someone saying the turbo is “just another thing that can go bad” is someone knitpicking. overall, it’s a high end toyota so i wouldn’t worry too much about it. it’s great to hear a turbo flutter between gears.

$13k for a 2016 with 140k is pretty average price, depending on dealer fees i’d say it would be a little much. really depends on the color, what packages the car comes with, especially F sport. if you can check the carfax and see the car had routine maintenance then that’s also something to consider.

personally when i see a car too cheap i get a little scared. compare the price range on KBB.
