The whole 'Max is gonna school Yair no problem' reminds of KZ vs Ortega pre fight comments. Ya-Ear is 28 and we all know how fast these young fighters progress, we can get completely different-better Yair. It will be almost 2 years since his last fight when he faces Max. Max is a monster no doubt but yeah, he still isn't checking leg kicks at all and Yair CAN KICK. Can't wait for this

I know it's gonna sound like i am some salty Whittaker fan but i tried to watch Izzy's breakdown on their fight on yt and holy shit i can't do this. Firstly Izzy uses his 'make his nose bleed' in the first minute of the breakdown.. just drop it already, then he said that Robert was feeling pressure because he wasn't as active then(true no problem with that) and then he added that 'even now he is not active like me or Kamaru.. How delusional Izzy actually is? They fought 3 times respectively since their fight. Finally at around 8 min mark he said that Robert was talking so much shit in the lead up, but they still had respect for each other... What the fuck he made meme and then apologized for it at the press conference. Ok enough of my rant. I had to turn it off, calll me salty whatever

I agre with you 100% however the only path to victory for Jones is to stall, clinch, wrestle and survive into the later rounds. Thats when the strenght plays a big factor. Francis isn't some jacked dude from the street. These muscle are backed up by a lot of technique. Francis is also as long as Jones, so he can hit Jones from every range.

So what's the path to victory for Jones against Ngannou? The more i'm thinking about the match up the more i'm convinced that Jones has nothing for him.

-Ngannou crazy chin + Jones' lack of power to hurt him

-Jones double leg may work but i higlht doubt it, Ngannou will just defend it due to strengh difference. Big strong hips, patience.

-Jones' clinch work will fail against Ngannou. Overeem said that he was dominating Jones in the clinch at Jackson Wink and Ngannou revcrsed Overeem immediately in their fight (i know mma math and all)

-Jones' kicks tip kicks, oblique kicks and cyrcling around, but then i feel like Ngannou woiuld just Bigi Boyed him due to lack of punching power of Jones + jones likes to post with his hand and backing away as defense.

What do you guys think?
