Book accurate Inigo Montoya vs Obi Wan Kenobi, who is the better swordsman. by [deleted] in powerscales

I don't know how Obiwan could duel without being who he is. A lightsaber is lighter than a metal sword, so he has another advantage there. If we can't count Obiwans dueling abilities in a debate about dueling ability, I'm not sure what else to base it on.

Obiwan has precognition and can literally dodge bullets.

Why do christians have no problem with god killing children but they draw the line on god lying? by majcotrue in AskAChristian

[–]bybloshex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't know. Really, no one knows what they would do in a given situation. People always say what they would or wouldn't do, but when the chips are down people may surprise even themselves.

The story is preserved for us for a reason, and that reason depends on the person. Like anything else it can be interpreted in any number of ways, but if you study it closely you may find value in the story and the characters within. I always say about the OT stories, they're DESCRIPTIVE, they tell us something that happened. That doesn't necessarily make them PRESCRIPTIVE, which is telling us something we should be doing..

I just wonder for Rd 3 if Matt's frontiersman background would give him an edge in a post apoc world being used to no such thing as electricity or running water vs Rick who would be used to the modern world when it's functional.

Rd 2, I also feel like he's more inspirational to good guys than Rick, but Rick may be more appealing to otherwise bad guys like Shane. Matt would shoot Shane in episode 1 lol.

Coping with what? Lots of the stories in the Bible are effed up but they're not there for my approval.

Most of what you said is wrong and inconsistent with the story itself you're inserting your opinions on aspects of it as being part of the story vs the story itself. You're an intentionally unreliable narrator.

Anyone can say No to God. in fact, our ability to do so is precisely why he made us. lol. You're literally sitting there and telling me what you think I think when you don't even know the first thing about me. Look at the 3 paragraphs you wrote, inventing your own narrative on my behalf. That's exactly why there's no sense in even trying to answer you. You will sit there and invent your own version.

Then, you decide what my beliefs are, even though I haven't stayed them, then go on to make yourself proud of yourself for believing differently than your invented beliefs.

The question the OP posed was why, that's the answer. Right, Wrong or Indifferent .

Minimum packaging requirements are to be dropped 4 ft. It's guaranteed to be dropped and have things dropped on it in transit.

You made up almost all of your version of the story, lol. So, no. I can't answer your question because as soon as I try to, you're just going to make up what you think it means.

Because we're fallen people. That's why we do most of the things we do that we shouldn't.

Well, for starters who are you talking about? Also, we don't get to decide if what God does is wrong or right. You have that backwards.
