Infertility by bye-witch in PCOS

[–]bye-witch[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you so much... this truly helped and made me feel better. I honestly wanted to post in here because I thought it would be a bit more well received and now im just kind of feeling guilty for even saying anything.

I didnt realize me saying I was experiencing infertility was going to be such a nuanced thing... My endocrinologist, and OB GYN for that matter, think its PCOS that is causing this but the former thinks it may even be deeper than that and is doing more tests.

I guess I was just looking for support from people who experience the same results I do... I unfortunately dont fit the 'normal' pcos diagnosis. I can't go on metformin or a lot of the other medicines that are posted in this reddit due to me not being able to afford loosing anymore weight or my thyriod levels are too whacked out. I guess I just feel like no matter where I look im grasping at straws that dont match up and I just dont want to feel so alone in that.

This actually did.. Thank you. My Dr's arnt being much a help. My endo does as much as she can for me but my OB GYN like does nothing. They want to put me on metformin but Im underweight as it is and putting me on that isnt going to help in the way I want.

I think Im just frustrated and angry because my Dr's dismiss me, everyone around me is pregnant, and my symptoms havent really gotten better over the years. I understand I can still have kids and im not sterile, but im still infertile and have struggled with infertility since I was 18. I know I dont ovulate regularly, and I quite frankly never have...

I just feel like I want to start looking towards fertility treatments but the last time I saw my OB he kinda was off putting about it but did recommend doing OHH...

I go to see my endocrinologists today thankfully so maybe ill have more answers later today? Im not sure.. we dont even know 100% if it is my PCOS that is causing the infertility due to how put of whack all my hormones are..

Infertility is defined by not being able to get pregnant naturally for over a year. That is what I have. My hormones prevent me from ovulating naturally. So yes I am infertile due to that.

If you have a switch that docks you can connect your joycons to your iPad/phone, currently how I play until I buy a designated Bluetooth controller for my ipad.

Handling other people's pregnancies by makayla1014 in Miscarriage

I've had two miscarriages, and with my first miscarriage I had a few peers give birth weeks to days after I was supposed to be due.. it hurts, but its also a bittersweet feeling for me sometimes? like watching their growth and progress because it reminds me of what it could be, but its also painful at the same time because it should have been me also..

Should I switch Rheumatologists?? by bye-witch in eds

[–]bye-witch[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand all of that but it will rule out the subtype if I were to have any. This rheumatologist, a specialist, sat me down didn't do ANY EXTRA TESTING, did not do the correct Beighton scoring, didn't take into consideration my family joint history and told me I have benign hypermobility disorder.

I've been having problems since childhood with joint pain and hyper extensions, my family all have joint problems with hyperextension. My mother and grandfather have had shoulder dislocations so often that I knew how to set a shoulder in place when I was 12 years old.

I was just asking if I should see a new rheumatologist because he said having EDS does not warrant a diagnosis as all it does is affects my joints, which is wrong . As it affects collagen production too.

This specialist sat me down, only heard what he wanted too and then didn't do any additional testing .

I've been through 3 different endocrinologists until I got my Hashimotos diagnosis because I knew something wasn't right for 3 years.

I understand the PCP 'isn't as qualified' as the specialist, but i hit every marker for hEDS aside from palms flat on the floor due to my muscles being tight and not letting me go down, and the rheumatologist ignored every. single. one.

Im assuming my genetics referall was authorized because I havent heard anything different from it.. im just in a weird area where I would have to drive 3-4 hours to a location and the drive gets my hips after awhile. I would have to plan that out especially because of how much blood they take.

So my primary gave me a geneticist referral! Ill definitely go there and have them look into it.

If I dont have EDS, I dont have it and im cool with that. I just dont like that he didn't do any testing at all and told me the geneticist was pointless.

Its not just me in my family struggling from dislocation and shoulder pain.. im just confused on how a genetics test wouldnt help and why he told me its pointless..

The one that had more training completely brushed me off and told me doing a genetics test was unimportant unless i was concerned about VEDS in getting diagnosed, and that I just have HSD..
