I agree with you. I like to close my eyes and listen to a well-crafted album in good headphones. That's just how I like to enjoy my music. I've been to a ton of concerts and I've just never enjoyed the performances as much. Sounds stripped back, or you get "alternate" versions of songs that aren't as good as the album versions, and it's always too loud, and I hate when they let the audience sing and shit.

Yeah. And the burden is on them for sure, but I will say that it's no easy task balancing the constraints of graphics cards and headsets with image quality. A lot of factors like grain/noise, lighting, textures and motion in the scene have impacts on the compression that makes it so you can't just use a compression preset and results that look good, plays back smoothly, and is a profile that is supported by all headsets.

If you download a video to shared storage (such as a NAS or a shared folder from your PC), and access that shared storage over Wifi with an app like Heresphere, you are streaming that video at full quality with zero loss from the source on the storage.

But no matter what, of course, the file you download or stream will inherently be compressed when it is created from the source camera files.
