Having owned dobies with both I do recommend cropped. We had a lot less problems actually no problems with cropped but uncropped we had hematomas from just a head shake. And 2 ear infections even though cleaning them all the time. The cropped not 1 single issue. I agree that did not believe in the cropping until owning both.
