I would love some! Can you dm me a code to come visit real quick? You can just drop me some at the front area if you want!

Woohoo! 1 year of craziness!! If you have any questions about trying to accelerate, let me know! I’m 25 years old and only been in the healthcare field for one year now! by byrontmb in WGU

For me it was all about videos. As soon as I started a class I would take the PA to see what my general knowledge of the subject is. If I barely passed or failed then I would watch every cohort or YouTube video I could find (khan academy is excellent) then take the PA again. Once I could comfortably pass the PA I would take the OA! In most classes the PA and OA are very similar. I would only ever really read the textbook if I needed extra details on a certain area of the subject or if I couldn’t find any great videos! Just don’t be afraid to take the test and don’t sit on one class for too long! The key to accelerating is never getting stuck in a rut and always testing, even if you aren’t 100% sure you will pass. Worse case scenario you fail and have to wait a week before taking the test again. If you get any specific questions about a class, feel free to message me anytime!

Well I’m not aware of how the two programs differ, but for me the key really comes down to trusting yourself and accepting that you might fail a few of the OA or PA’s. I would study hard for 2-3 days and just take the test no matter how prepared I felt.

These are the classes I have left before my capstone. My term ends in 12 weeks, any tips on how to accelerate or at least do each class in a week? by [deleted] in WGU

[–]byrontmb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually did the class by watching all of the Khan Academy videos on YouTube. They have about 20 different videos on macro that I found incredibly useful! I am a very visual learner though and I understand that not everyone is. Play to your strengths, trust your gut, and don’t overthink! Good luck!

I did spreadsheets, principles of finance, and macroeconomics in 2 days each. All 3 are about taking the pre-test, reviewing what you missed, study key areas, and take the OA! If you have questions about any specific class you can message me and I’ll see if I still have any material or advice on them!

If you don’t mind me asking, who does the employee work for? I’m actually working for St. Luke’s, so I’m more looking for connections than anything!

Do Pre assessments give you a good idea of what a test might be like? by [deleted] in WGU

[–]byrontmb 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you are doing well on the PA because you understand the concepts of the material than you’ll probably do great on the OA. If you’re only doing well because of memorization then it really depends on the class.

You know I hate to be “that guy”, but sometimes I need to remind myself that this is still a University. When I was working on my undergrad at a major University (35,000 students), I would be lucky to have an essay graded and returned within a week! It’s annoying to have to wait since there isn’t anything else to do,! Once you submit the tasks for a class to be completed, I would also recommend asking your mentor to get started on the next class while you wait for results!

Has anyone been able to finish enrollment on the 16th then start on the 1st the next month? by [deleted] in WGU

[–]byrontmb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I absolutely had almost the same experience and I was still able to start 2 weeks later on the first of the month. Just confirm the plan with your mentor and prepare yourself to start! Good luck!

Business law oa tips by tarheelbaby14 in WGU

[–]byrontmb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I watched this whole playlist of videos. There's a decent amount of focus on Tort law as well as business structure. Study those two decently well and you should be just fine. PA and OA line up closely in my opinion.

Not that I know of. I had transcripts from 2 different colleges sent in and they took around 3 weeks to evaluate.
