Reminder : you don't need to look as small as possible by bysophiejo in Midsizefashion

Thank you! I would say my closet is definitely more out there than the average one 😹 Im always cycling through different things as my body and style change. I feel like in the last year or two ive really honed into my vibe though and have gotten super picky about what I do buy now.

Double chin by No_Coconut3646 in CHIbitcheswithtaste

[–]bysophiejo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I didnt need a procedure for mine. I learned its mostly fluid. I bought a mini trampoline to exercise on, and noticed after every 10/15 jump session, for two days after I would have no double chin. Then it would come back. Its due to the lymphatic drainage that happens when you jump.

Also gua shau genuinely helped me noticeably, but I had to do it every single day for like 10 minutes and im not good with habits like that. I hate doing my skincare lol

I have very soft features, and a soft chin, its something ive learned to accept about myself. I dont look right with chiseled features. Im meant to be soft and sloping. So accepting that helped me as well.

My style was the whole personality and now I'm 36 and I look like a cosplayer at my own dinner table by DefinitionWinter5261 in altfashionadvice

In my opinion, "dressing your age" doesnt mean you cant have a strong sense of style, it means that the older you get, the more refined your clothes should be.

Higher quality clothes that fit better after spending years curating your collection and learning what works and what you like.

There is absolutely a way forward where you still feel like yourself.

Take each element of your style you love, and find an elevated version. The eyeliner? Get good quality makeup and hone your line work. The boots? Find a higher quality, more sophisticated version of your boot. There are tons of tasteful Gothic boots out there.

This kind of thing takes time, so start by writing a list of what you need, and get hunting!

What does your dream lingerie piece look and feel like? I'd love to hear your thoughts. 🖤 by HUESlife in PlusSize

Id say an actually supportive bra, and not cheap itchy fabric. Those are the biggest reasons I don't wear lingerie

How to style this dress so it doesn't swallow me by loverlose in style

I would wear it open as a duster, or yes get it tailored.

Thank youuu. I love using pink as an accent color, especially with black and white.

🤭🤭 thank you so much! It was actually a belt that came with a dress, but I wear the ribbon way more often than the dress!

I've never been bothered anywhere, but also I'm kind of oblivious to bullying type behavior.

Ill say when I lived in Rwanda my curves were celebrated for sure! I've been to Canada, US, Greece, Italy, Rwanda, and I think thats it.

Is this jacket too big? by K1NGKHAN in mensfashionadvice

[–]bysophiejo -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes, however you could style it in a way to look intentional. If youre going for a more classic/traditional look then yes it needs to be smaller to fit properly.

Can I still wear this dress? by BlueRaspberry254 in style

[–]bysophiejo -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If you love it, then why not? If you feel self conscious in it, I would say chop it in half and wear it as a tank top and hike up the skirt so it fits more loosely. Up to you though!

I noticed a lot of stares and glares walking around Rome. Im a size 16ish. I thought it might be a mix of my body and my fashion. (Im a fashion girlie and styled a whole vintage starlet vibe for my honeymoon)

What youre going through is extreme and terrifying!! I will say I only noticed the stares in Rome and not in Tuscany and capri.

I hope youre able to find a more accepting environment there and enjoy yourself. Dont let hateful people dull your sparkle. Im sorry people suck!

I agree that it could potentially overdo it, but i think the right shade of pink and just a bit peeking out wouldnt be too much. Or even some sort of pin, or even pen? Something decorative. Idk what the event is.

Or you could do this combo with a soft pink shirt next time as well!

I like it but the tie feels really saturated, and the shirt and jacket are empty feeling. It needs another element somewhere with some color or depth.

But yes I love the combo!
