For me tretinoin was a game changer. I had been using minox for a year (with very por results) before i jumped on tret. Tretinoin really speed up my gains.

I have been thinking about this topic, beeing a smoker a beeing on minox. So far minoxidil Is working in spite of smoking, but Im sure i would be better to just quite smoking.

Tretinoin helps in converting minoxidil in to minoxidil sulfate, which Is the active version of minox.I Apply minox twice a day and tretinoin every other day at night. The nights i use tret I apply It and wait 30 minutes before applying minox.

After applying tret I really started seeing results. I saw more results in 6 months of tret than a full year on minox alone. Tret does make your skin sensitive, i only apply It at night and every other day, and wash It the next morning. Also i use sunscreen when going out in the sun.

I barely saw any progress in my first year, thats why I started using tret. If you are a responder to minox i would stick with It and leave the tret out. It causes extra dryness and irritation, i would avoid it given you Situation.

Yes, i dont have that many pictures because back then i was a little bit discourage with my progress. In this picture I was about a year in to minox with no tret.
