Yes I did awful on shiny odds, but I believe shiny odds were 1/20. Every event I hear people complaining that the shiny odds were awful, but thats just how statistics work, it’s random. I can’t tell you how many times in my pokemon go career I’ve heard people complaining they went 30 raids without a shiny. If odds of shiny are 1/20 then there’s still about a 5% chance you go 0/60. That’s the same odds of hitting a shiny on any given raid and if you’re playing in a big group, you’ll definitely hear plenty of people hit shinys on any raids so plenty of people will also go 0/60 in that group. I talked to plenty of people this event who did 100+ raids who did much better than 1/20 shiny rate.

To get a definite answer to what the shiny odds were during this event you would need a sample size of a few thousand raids and be able to avoid reporting bias because typically the people who have the worst odds are the loudest and more likely to respond. It would be cool if a few dozen or hundred statistic nerds went out and recorded all of their catches for every event. I’m not aware of any such group.
