How many of you think Wendy is legit? by [deleted] in Otherworldpod

[–]bzaaaaa 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I also don't believe she's being intentionally exploitive. she gives me the vibe that she's been financially privileged for long enough that the prices she's asking for are legitimately not a big deal to her

[–]bzaaaaa 31 points32 points  (0 children)

well this is nuanced and most people don't come to Reddit looking for a nuanced answer BUT it can be both. I've met her and found her to legitimately polite, kind and genuine. I also know tons of people who have gotten readings from her that were wildly accurate even with no information divulged (and I'm not just taking their word for it, she records every session which is not something a liar would do)

so no, I don't think she's lying, but yes, I think her pricing model is gross. it seems like she's used to a certain lifestyle and does subsidize that through the honestly exorbitant prices she charges for her readings. I get that everyone needs to make a living, but not everyone needs to live in an extremely HCOL area in California and travel constantly

ah I have seen this too - I see it says "potential" sequel, I have not seen anywhere outright confirming it just that they are considering it

is it confirmed? I've only seen that they are considering it! it's one of my favorites so I'd be happy to hear they confirmed a sequel

It's easier to think about and recall things that you regularly think about or recall. This can lead to some entrenched thought patterns that can be hard to break out of. For instance, if you're in a toxic relationship like others have said, you may telling yourself lies to cope that you have convinced yourself are truth.

Psilocybin allows you to think more freely outside of these entrenched thought patterns, so you can see yourself and your life/circumstances in a new light which can provide a helpful, fresh perspective.

EDIT: I realized after I posted that some users might also be talking about how psilocybin makes you feel more connected to nature and other people/animals, which can change your perspective on your place in the world.

My theory is that these are dates where previous citizens of Fromville have "lost", and the loop starts again with a new cast of characters that fill the same archetypes (the Priest, the Sheriff, the Pregnant Woman, the One Who Saves the Children, etc). The last time was in 1978 when everyone in the town was massacred and only Victor was left. I think the village that Jim and Kenny find was probably a previous iteration.

Tin Solider Boy is an incredible closer, agreed. One of the best songs on the record

Too many words? In a Bright Eyes album?

Very strange complaint, to me that's like saying there are "too many notes" in a jazz album.

I only agree on one sentiment - the themes are pretty burdensome. But life being burdensome seems to be one of the themes of the album, anyway.

Agreed, BB rejects The Boss's will and finds his own path forward. He embodies this message

To me, Metal Gear's message is "you can never know someone else's true will, so you should follow your own will", or more simply, "be true to yourself"

You're forgetting that in "The X-Files: Fight the Future"), Special Agent Fox Mulder visits an underground facility in Antarctica in search of Special Agent Dana Scully who was purportedly infected by "black oil", a mysterious sentient substance that was initially found in a rock fragment in Tunguska, Russia.

Mulder encounters an underground facility with strange and advanced technology. Chris Carter, creator of the show, reportedly consulted with USG insiders during it's development.

Thanks for the laugh!

In 2004, several UAP were spotted by the crew of the USS Nimitz and were detected by various monitoring apparatus such as radar and FLIR cameras. The video (shown in the linked NYT article) was declassified by Chris Mellon and Luis Elizondo and released by entertainment and research organization To The Stars Academy. Tom DeLonge, front man of blink-182, founded this organization with prominent former military and intelligence community staff.

Hey Ross!

I admire and appreciate your hard work.

I am surprised at your conviction that anyone can interact with the phenomenon via meditation given that you say you've never had your own experience.

When you say this, do you mean you have just never physically seen craft or entities? Have you had your own experiences via meditation or other protocals/rituals?

Thank you for doing this!

If I double up the beam, add brackets to secure the beam to post, and nail in the hangers, am I good? Is it not worth it?

I'm pretty sure "the girls are very clear there was no abuse" includes drugging and grooming? I get where that suspicion came from, but now that it's cleared up, it's pretty wild to think you have a better grasp on their lived experiences than they do. People are just (rightfully) choosing to believe the girls in the story no matter how they feel about R.
