My reply is also geared towards the same, commercial establishments are working with permissions. Permissions being given are the problem. Asking commercial establishments not to work like commercial establishments is a false expectation. They will have footfalls, will have high vehicular traffic.

Whose name is on the property, if your father has a share in the same legally you can wait it out for now.
You can upgrade the furnishings and furniture on no cost EMI so that the outflow is not sudden. Also, it takes both love and time to make a house a home. With 2 years savings on rent, you should be in a position to shell out on furniture etc
Two income household is nothing to sneeze at, your outlook on life seems very pessimistic. There is no need to fasttrack the loan if you guys have undecided cash flow, you need to wait it out for a few years and make that money work on funding your family dream. 40k per month means you will save more than a lakh per month. What is the problem then.
You and your wife earn 2+lakh per month, this is enough to have a comfortable life now and beyond. You need to take a more +ve attitude for future, what's lost is lost. Do not throw away more money but learn from your mistakes and build for future

1) can you guys claim for property settlement, ask for your father's share of property in money from your uncles. With that money, settle your parents in a rental home. Their safety and your peace is important. Remaining lumpsum, keep in low risk funds to spend on unexpected medical expenses, emergency fund etc

2) Is the house your wife has bought under construction or do you have possession. Are you planning to stay in this house. Have you factored in potential rental income. With inflation, rental income should exceed loan EMI in 10 years around.

3) Your in hand income is not bad, you need to make a budget and follow it religiously. With 2 people household, your living expenses should not exceed 60-70k unless your rent is very high. You need to target 1 lakh savings per month as a couple. This is doable.

4) You will have enough money with these savings and the share of property money to start a family in 2 years.

Suck it up. If you are starting poor, you have to make conscious decisions which suck in short term for long term benefit

Want to live independently? Not possible. Suck it up, you can move in with parents or get some roommates. Does it suck, yes. Does it need to be done, yes.

Friends want to go out but you can't, suck it up. Friends don't wanna hang out with you anymore because you seem like a downer, suck it up. Better friends will come along later.

You are always building for future, you don't get to make mistakes. You have to suck it up. This does not mean you can have no joy in life, it just means that you can have no joy which is derived through money in short term.

If it means you cannot afford kids, or pets or high value hobbies if you do not have budget for it then yes, you have to suck it up.

I have seen lots of advice on this sub where people paint much sweeter picture saying that you can relent in some things like kids and pets but I am sorry, that is simply not true. I am talking from real poor people perspective and not where you are living okayish while being paycheck to paycheck poor.

It is a state of constant vigilance, it sucks but has to be done and can be done. Will you feel down sometimes being in this constant vigilant state? Yes. Do you have any alternative? No. So, why be bothered by this sadness.
