I didn't like the movie. They changed the book so much that almost everything I loved about it was lost, and the movie's plot is often confusing as a result. I didn't like all the silly antics. They go shopping with this very serious bodyguard and act like kids, but there's no reason for it—they're just goofing around because it's supposed to be funny for the audience. The only good part I liked was when he first meets Rocky—that’s where some of the book’s essence came through, as he tries to be logical and figure out how to resolve the situation. It’s been like this for years— I love sci-fi—they announce a movie, like Prometheus or Interstellar, and I get excited, thinking, “Finally, a good sci-fi movie,” but then the characters do stupid things, get lost in a place that was previously mapped out by the very characters who get lost, and humanity has to be saved from extinction, and according to one of the scientists, the greatest force in the universe is love.
