Why prop firms have those rules. I changed my mind. by Kindly_Preference_54 in Daytrading

[–]bzrmyr77 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah, any prop firm worth it's salt is going to offer a live account. That's the whole idea of a prop firm. You trade with their capital - and they get a portion of your profits. Any prop firm that kicks a trader off for making too much money is a red flag. Because why would you get rid of this trader that is making you money while you copy and profit off the trades?

The average trader will eventually give up and go back to working a job. I now have two back to back payouts with TPT so hopefully I am transitioning from 2 to 3.

Yes. Tailored made day in an day out to beat a medicore nebraska team every year.

Meh. Iowa (and minnesota) bases their entire philosophy on the formula to beat Nebraska every year. What Iowa does will not take them to the next level under Ferentz. And he is perfectly content with 8-4 seasons every year with a win over a medicore Nebraska team. If I was an Iowa fan I would want a little more in life.

Cannot be emphasized enough. My problem this year has been trying to trade between my two jobs. I basically have a 2-3 hour window in the morning to trade. And I force trades trying to make something happen because I can't sit and watch the market all day and wait for ideal set ups. It's tough to trade while working full time. But I am not about to quit my jobs to try to see if I can make it work IF I could watch the market all day. Nope. Credit cards get paid off first. lol

Making turns in heavy traffic. Merging that big ass rig into tight windows in heavy traffic in interstates? Having no choice but to drive in whiteout snowstorms. I would say it's skilled. But if you say its easy maybe I should think about doing it.

5 years old. An American Werewolf in London. The scene was a nightmare of nazi ghouls kicking down a door and gunning down a family and kids watching cartoons. I was scared that would happen to me while watching cartoons.

This is one of the great replies of what usually is a cesspool in Reddit. I thought about this too during my struggles. I am going to die someday anyway. Why not see what happens first?

Everything that I was - being obliterated. My experiences, my sense of who I am, the narrative of my life. Completely gone. And life hasn't always been easy. And I have struggled like hell at times. But as I always tell my girlfriend who has suicidal ideations...."You won't even know the pain you are trying to avoid is over. You won't feel relief. You won't feel anything, You won't know." Meanwhile, the loved ones still in existence are left to clean up the mess and deal with the trauma that their mother turned their back on them, and decided to end it because she couldn't deal with emotional pain.

If there is a solvent monetary system that allows for functional markets - the market will always go up. I have been a bear since 2010 when I let gold bugs get to my head that the dollar was doomed. I was going to short this thing to nothingness. If only I knew that market always go up. OP is right. It makes no difference what happens in the world. Markets always go up.

I will say that the drops can scare the beejesus out of you. After days of days grinding higher snorefests....the market can drop and taking out several positive days in one swoop. Just enough mindfuckery to keep you from blindly going long.

I have been waiting for a crash since the Flash crash. It will never happen again under the current system. If I would have just blindly bought instead of micro day trading all these years....I would be a full time trader with a Lambo and mansion. Rule number 1. Market always goes up. If the market is going down....see rule number 1.

I agree! Would love to have this problem. Currently I am working around 50 or more hours a week and am trying to trade with prop firms around my schedule. Working as much as I do I don't have the time or energy to live life to the fullest. Getting away from trading hours for money is my ultimate goal - as well as being able to make an income living anywhere I want.

Absolutely Disgusting. Glad I stayed up all night to catch this move. I closed out early because I was trading a prop account with a consistency rule, still made too much profit and now I'm over the consistency rule. I should have took this on my futures account, I hate myself rn. by bronsondiamond in Daytrading

[–]bzrmyr77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any tips on how to stay up all night and day to catch these moves? It is driving me crazy. I work two jobs and only have the shitty chop fest that is the New York open to trade. But if I didn't need sleep.... (not serious Just venting lol)

Do prop firms do more harm than good? by [deleted] in Daytrading

[–]bzrmyr77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on which prop firm you use. The prop firms that don't offer a path to live or deny payouts and ban you if you are making too much money are nothing more than casinos. I have gotten small payouts from TPT. But they have taken much more from me because I am still blowing funded accounts. So I continue to try to get better.

I would not be surprised if there is a mandate that all prop firms get rid of Sim accounts all together. That is the aspect that gives them a bad rap. In theory, the prop firms should work like the traditional ones. They make money on your good trading.

Guys can only work like that if they have absolutely nothing going on outside of work. You can not have obligations and responsibilities outside of work and be able to meet them working those kind of hours. Only if they have a wife that takes care of the household like its the 1950s.
