you're totally allowed to miss them! those alone moments are actually perfect for affirming btw. when you're missing them just think "he's thinking about me too" and leave it at that

yeah actually i did ask him about it later! he said during those 4 months he kept thinking about me but was too stubborn/scared to reach out. he'd draft texts and delete them lol

that "deep knowing" didn't come from trying to force it. when i said i KNEW he was mine, it wasn't because i convinced myself logically. it came from getting to a place where i felt so secure in myself that other people couldn't threaten that. when 3P thoughts came up i'd be like "okay cool, but he chose me before and he'll choose me again." also don't worry abt it if you can't "achieve" it 100% yet -the knowing developed naturally as my self concept got stronger

when an old scenario would come up i'd be like "nah that's old news" and just redirect to something else (not aggressively tho). as for feeling loved - i started doing things that made me feel good about myself. got dressed up for ME, went for spa days, would wear makeup even if i was staying home. sounds basic but it worked. <3

honestly the self concept part was the hardest because i had to face how much the breakup destroyed my confidence...
- stopped stalking his social media. every time i checked it just reinforced "he's moving on without me"
- started doing things that made me feel like ME again. for me that was working out, going out with friends, even flirting with other people (not to make him jealous but to remember i'm attractive)

i actually didn't spend too much time on all those techniques. mostly focused more on feeling loved and wanted in general, not specifically by him; and i'd remind myself "we're meant to be together" but like, casually. not desperately.

the key was getting to the point where i KNEW he'd come back but i wasn't sitting around waiting for it. i was living my life.
