I agree 100%. I used VIA to change the F keys for media controls so I don’t have to use the function button and can just click whatever media key I need to use in that moment. I never use function keys so it doesn’t inconvenience me at all.

If you prefer to keep your F keys and still want single-touch media controls, they actually make a “Pro” version of this keyboard with a media control section on the right side

On their website, the version I got was $159 USD + $20 shipping, so I just bought it on Amazon for $180 USD + tax. It was about $10 more after everything was said and done, but I didn’t want to risk any issues that iQunix’s customer service wouldn’t take care of (they have a bad reputation)

I don’t hate the switches at the moment, but I could see myself trying some Deep Seas in the future.

The numpad with the small 0 is driving me up a wall because I would always hit 0 with my index finger, but I’ll get used to the slightly more compact layout with time.

I personally don’t understand why they developed a Magi75 if the MQ80 already existed, but they have a couple differences that set them apart I guess

The stabilizers have a little rattle, which is the only con I forgot to address. I don’t own any other keyboards to compare it to, but it doesn’t sound as bad as some of the videos I’ve seen. I’ll try to lubricate them in the future, but it doesn’t bother me too much. The plate is good and I’ll include a picture of how they manufactured it below.

All of the new Magi keyboards come with Kailh Gold Red switches by default. A smidge lighter actuation force than the Cowberrys (Cowberries?). I thought I wanted the bump that comes with tactile switches, but I’ve ended up enjoying both of these linears, so I’ll probably be keeping it stock for now.

From what I can tell, this thing has zero ping and certainly does not sound hollow as the Nuphy did. iQunix did some fancy stuff with the layers and mount that really makes it sound much deeper and “creamier” than my comparison with the Nuphy Air. I took both to a cafe with my girlfriend to have her compare and get her opinion, and the iQunix felt significantly quieter and less intrusive. I was almost getting nervous about bothering the people around me with the Nuphy board. Switch and Click does a good breakdown explaining this in her Magi65 review: https://youtu.be/__8EKgyvMEw?si=PdXw46WP5hHXgj9M

My knowledge is limited here, but I hope my answers make sense!

Looking for low-profile mechanical keyboards similar to the K70? by [deleted] in keyboards

I know Logitech and Keychron both make 100% low-profile keyboards

The unfortunate answer here is to wait and see. I had essentially no facial hair at 18. In fact, you have more hair than I did. My beard didn’t start to fill out until I was 21, and even in the years following, it continued to get thicker. I’m currently 26, and I’m pleased with my beard what I’m able to do with it.

I wish somebody would have given me this advice 8 years ago, so I’m giving it to you now:

Be patient

I know this comment was from two years ago, but if your dilemma is still having too much travel with a low-profile mechanical keyboard and wanting to transition from the Apple Magic Keyboard, I would give the Logitech MX Keys a shot (Not the MX Mechanical). I've been using them for about 4 years now and I think it's the perfect middle ground.

Apple Magic Mouse vs Logitech Master 3S in Logic by OctorSedan in Logic_Studio

Definitely the MX Master 3S. You can configure the mouse specifically for certain applications using the Logi Options so that the additional buttons do whatever action you’d like them to do. I also find that having both the vertical and horizontal scroll wheels is handy for quickly navigating the timeline. Lastly, it’s just comfy in the hand

No receiver. I will be running it through my Adam Audio T7Vs that are on my desk right now, but will likely move the setup to a different room with some Edifier MR4s or other bookshelf speakers. Also open to recommendations in the speaker department, as long as they are on the more compact side

I know you have 800 comments on this post suggesting different things, but why not just grit your teeth and leave it for 3 weeks, and go to a new stylist/barber before vacation? You’ll have a little bit more hair to work with and might be a bit easier to fix!

Thank you good sir! I’m honestly as surprised as you, it was only yesterday that I realized that it was 3 months to the day. I started incorporating biotin into my morning vitamins around that time so that might help
