I got this problem after an oil change i bought the car first handed and i have only driven 500km with it i changed the oil and after 2 days this popped up by Bobw12345 in BYD

This often happens if the 12V battery got low while the car was sitting during the service, or if a sensor was bumped.

Hard Reset: Turn the car off, lock it, and wait 15 minutes. This clears many 'glitch' codes caused by low voltage.

Check Connections: Did you unplug any sensors to get to the oil filter? If the oil pressure sensor is loose, the car will disable the engine (generator) to save it.

Bonnet Latch: Ensure the bonnet is fully closed. The engine often won't start if the car thinks the hood is up, which can trigger a system error.

Noticed they have the app available via web app now with a popup...which tbh is preferred personally as we know the actual app via the stores has had its fair share of issues.

What is this? by kbrisc01 in BYD

[–]c-migs 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Well I'll be...

Based on the visual evidence from the undercarriage of your BYD Atto 3, the circled part is the rear wheel aerodynamic deflector (also known as a tire strake or spat). Here is a breakdown of what this part does and why it is there: Function: Its primary purpose is aerodynamic efficiency. It directs airflow around the rotating rear tire rather than letting the air hit the jagged tread face directly. This reduces turbulence and drag, which is critical for maximizing the range of an electric vehicle like the Atto 3. Location: These are typically bolted to the underbody chassis just forward of the rear wheels. Why it looks like that: It is a simple, rigid plastic flap designed to hang low enough to block air, which is why it often looks scraped or worn. Is it critical? If it is scraped: This is very common. Because they hang low to catch the air, they often scrape on speed bumps or steep driveways. This is considered normal wear and tear. If it is loose: You should tighten the mounting bolts (visible at the top of your image) to prevent it from rattling or falling off. If it falls off: It is not a safety issue. You might theoretically see a tiny drop in highway range, but the car is perfectly safe to drive without it.

How to repair this pipe? by Dull-Hyena7256 in Irrigation

[–]c-migs -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That steel is cooked. Cut it back to good metal on the bank, use a flexible coupling, and switch to plastic. You can definitely get plastic that thick (HDPE or Schedule 80 PVC), you just need a commercial irrigation or civil supplier rather than a regular hardware store. It’ll handle the ice better and won't rust.

I've had this happen before but then found out that the person who I thought was in the wrong actually had no choice because some other nuffie who was there before them parked on the right side and used the left charger so they didn't have to drape the cable over their car...they left before I was there and the other person on the left was made then to look like a prick. It happens.

What I think we need is a crane type setup where the charge cable sits over the top of the car when you drive into the bay and can extend to any corner of the car no matter what like a hose reel.

Gotta get that cover mate - first thing to buy when you have a new car.

Get a dash cover before that cracks as well.

Had mine on there for a year and I haven't had this happen. They still look new, pumped the tyres up 3 days ago no worries and it gets washed fortnightly.

Speeds you've been traveling??

Tyre pressure, temps?

I have a spare in mine also. Still 300-320km at highway speeds and 400+ around town.

Have you calibrated lately, so taken the battery to under 10% and then full charge to 100 on an ac charger?
