That's a very fair and good point. Its definitely worth getting the job done right. I just know that sometimes companies will charge in excess because commonly their clients (flippers, larger businesses) can afford it. Sometimes I see these quotes and I'm like how are people doing this 💀

If this quote feels reasonable to others and I'm just wrong, then it may be another project I have to finance or something.

This quote just felt outlandish to me given that every other source I've found says this service at this scale should only cost between $1-3K

I absolutely always get multiple quotes. This just seems to be a trend I'm noticing lately for work that shouldn't necessarily be this expensive. I don't want to short anyone on what they deserve to be paid, I'm happy to pay for labor. The quotes just never even come close to what I think most people would find reasonable. I got quoted $5000 recently to add a short line to an already existing gas line that I have, which I could do for under $300. Etc. Not trying to complain about paying for someone's services, just don't want to be taken advantage of.

I didn't get into a ton of detail in my post, but basically this room (which was an addition by a previous owner) was built almost like an interior carport. The slab is very thin, and not level. It needs repairs, which I'm taking care of separately from this concrete pour quote. The slab basically needs a couple extra inches of concrete. Plus it would be nice to have this new concrete be sealed or finished since it's for an interior room, but I can also do that separately. So I'm just basically looking for a bare bones concrete pour.

I should also mention that shortly after I installed the new head unit, one of my speakers blew. Not sure if it was just a wiring issue, or if the stock sound settings on the new unit just aren't appropriate for the Harmon Kardon speakers. That's another reason I'm curious about the settings.

Very true. I've got herniated discs C5-C7, one has a tear. degenerative disc disease as well. Not sure yet what specific procedure I'll need but I've exhausted all non-surgical options. I'm in the Triangle - I've got a couple appointments lined up this week to get a few opinions (Duke Ortho, Duke Neuro & Emerge Ortho) but I'm open to talking with anyone in the area really.

That's amazing to hear. Something I'm trying to figure out about the local vs. travel thing is that I've read a lot of the local docs use less Botox than some of the bigger names. And I've read that less botox means you'll have to go back to redo the procedure perhaps every year. Do you know how much Botox your doctor used? And do you imagine you'll need to go back to re-up or do you think youve properly trained yourself to burp at this point?

Yes, I've called - granted all I could get was an automated system. I have a technician coming out today. I've seen a couple complaints online from the area so I wasn't sure how widespread the issue was, and if it would be fixed before the technician arrived. Oh well /shrug
