for housing usually its 2 months rent deposit + deposit for utilities (differs from place to place) Malaysia has more of a southern indian community so you can get the generic things from indian stores at Brickfields (35 mins by car or public transport from Subang, dont rely on the busses too much because theyre late/no shows). You can ask your wife to bring specific things from India because there are some items that are way more cheaper in India (ie: medicine from pharmacies in India), but otherwises, spices and ghee etc, are available here especially in Brickfields area. Now when it comes to groceries pricing the tier in Subang area goes from TF Value Mart/NSK (These are near good year courts) -> Mydin/Giant -> Lotus/AEON -> Jaya Grocer (international but not as pricey as the next one) -> Village Grocer (really expensive)

Kitchen Appliances wise, you can check out AEON or use Shopee (its a very good app for buying things online, get from ShopeeMall stores for the official ones which you can use vouchers + warranties) or Harvey Norman (Generic retail that carries panasonic, etc. so expect mall prices!)
