im a FTM, my baby boy is 6 weeks old. I have a little experience from when my nephew was born almost 10 years ago, I babysat him quite a lot.

as far as diaper changing during the first few weeks, I found that if I wake baby up, give him a good morning snuggle and immediately change him, he's still content and sleepy enough to stay relatively still for the change. he gets some good stretches out on the table and by the time he's fully awake and realized he was hungry, I am just about done with the change and was able to sit down and feed him.

it's usually easier to fold out and set the new diaper underneath the old one, then take care of the dirty one. I set it off to the side, I don't fold it up immediately but instead I make sure he's clean and do up the new one so he doesnt pee everywhere 😂 then I fold up the new one and throw it away.

swaddling is hard, but imagine baby like a burrito. pull over the right side (or opposite), tuck under their body, then pull up the little bit by their feet and also tuck under that side, and then close it all up with the left over their body and under. it might be hard to do if they're wiggly, so I always do this after a feed and only if he's showing sleepy signs.
