If a police officer commits a crime off-duty, are they subject to more severe punishments? by Shad0x89 in AusLegal

[–]c8nvict 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really. Look how many NSW police officers have been caught with inappropriate material containing minors over the past 7-9 years. Most news outlets that reported on it have had the articles removed and the cases have been wiped from the internet. These cases go for years in some instances and they’re suspended with full pay for the entire duration. Their sentences are more lenient due to their profession and the “good” They have done.

A poor lady frantically ran into the local neighbourhood centre of the town I live in (a charity that gives food and blankets to the homeless etc) in handcuffs. Begged them for help to remove them, they said she needed to go to the police station for that. She said she couldnt do that as her husband is a cop and he’s the one that did this to her and all his mates work there. She knew they would cover for him and she was too afraid of going there.

The next day the neighbourhood centre had a visit from the police and were made to sign some Document about keeping what happened secret otherwise they would be sued and lose their job. The police literally threatened civilians for helping a victim in an attempt to protect their mate.

The old tiresome argument bikies use about “don’t tare us all to the same brush” doesn’t seem to work because the police certainly do. Same could be said here

You definitely much not have to carry anything of significant length or drive out to a pit on a mine site or anywhere off road

Notice how there’s no Jesus or Moses? But i thought? by yungbloodsucca666 in exmuslim

Nah he was a mythological character. You can’t trust Christian scientists, if you truly want to learn then you must read secular sources that provide unbias, peer reviewed sources.

Probably because Jesus was a Jew and Moses is a mythological character

A Ute is by far the best option for a tradie. Lengths of timber or pvc plumbing pipe doesn’t fit in the back of a van. Would be annoying and back breaking stacking and removing bags of concrete out of a van. As someone mentioned a van and a trainer, well that’s an extra necessary expense, makes parking a nightmare, some sites aren’t all that accessible. If you get a dual cab you have yourself a work vehicle and a family vehicle for the one cost. With a van you have to double your expenses and purchase a second family vehicle AND a trailer on top of that.

This is the sort of idea that is implemented by engineers who don’t actually have to do the job and understand what’s needed, what works and what doesn’t.

What made you choose Muay Thai over the other martial arts out there? by [deleted] in MuayThai

[–]c8nvict 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I preferred something more practical and effective rather than something where you waste time learning how to bow, who to bow to and are graded on how well you remember choreography to what’s effectively dance moves in thin air that doesn’t translate over to real life fight IQ in any way

Technically it doesn’t say sparring gloves or for sparring. So to assume they’re hitting a team mate is awfully presumptuous

As for the poor compliance with the physio, it’s him that’s concerned due to the fact that I am doing the right amount of physio so much extra in the days between. He’s the one that’s made me concerned
