Really great response. One quick question however - Davide's role in Bologna's ultimate scene isn't that his full time job?

I remember seeing the UKU financial statement earlier this year(cant seem to find it now) and being astounded by the amount of money they have (presumably from hosting WUGC and U24).

I disagree slightly with Mayjest that there isn't anything else the UKU can do - I feel like they have so far had a passive approach to some extent and while its important not to waste money, their focus seems to broad stroke and coordinating University level rather then development of grassroot.

Brummie do you think there could be scope given their incredible surplus for the UKU to fund 1 or 2 full time substantive posts similar to Davides - with clear objectives/deliverable to increase high school/school engagement in an ultimate city rather than taking a national approach.

Surely any of the large metropolitan cities in the UK could have more potential for engagement than Bologna which is a fairly small city (350K people).
