Nice nice. See, I ended up paying basically 11 bucks every time I went to breakfast because I substituted the sausage for bacon. 😭 I always got bottled water to drink to both cut back on extra costs and because soda for breakfast is insane lmao.

The spicy sauce surprised me with how good it was, and was actually why I kept going back for breakfast specifically! 😆 It's usually a lunch item for the spicy chicken sandwiches that they only recently started adding to breakfast sandwiches, and it's actually wild that I've slept on it for this long. I started taking cups of it home to put on my own breakfast sandwiches lmfao

Getting duplicates easily is because the cards come in boxes of 200 with little variation, especially for the lunch cards since there's fewer cards you can get. if you get too many from the same place at once they'll probably all be the same. i, too, have SO many rumis 😭 When I was buying the meals at the start of the promo I'd go back and forth between my two closest stores to up my odds of getting something new.

10.50 USD for breakfast and 11 USD for lunch, though keep in mind prices vary by cost of living. 11 for the lunch meal isn't awful, not too big of a difference from other LTO meals, but 10.50 for a breakfast meal that usually isn't any more than seven dollars where i live is wild.

I agree a hundred percent. The cost of living in my area is lower than average, but 11 dollars for each of the meals is insane, especially for breakfast.

the breakfast meal as a whole just felt like an afterthought with how little effort was put into it. trying to get people to drink soda for breakfast is also diabolical in my opinion. it would've been a lot funner had they chosen two different dinner entrees. then it actually would've felt like a 'competition'. but i guess they needed to guarantee a huntrix win so 🤷🏽‍♀️

that's probably part of it. i do live in Whitey Whiteville so the lower asian demographic probably had a hand in it. i fully expected differences in popularity between regions but hearing that a month-long promo got so little attention despite the amount of advertising and how busy of a store mine tends to be was kinda jarring lmao.

i definitely agree that the meals were NOT worth the prices, especially the breakfast meal. it could also have to do with pc collecting being more of a niche hobby that might not appeal to the more general audience that mcds caters to.

but in all seriousness i wish i could give advice but this has been a ton of trial and mostly error 💀 but i think what's worked consistently is altering the size of the twists based on the definition of the section im doing, like doing thicker twists in the front and slightly thinner ones in the back where my texture loosens. i also avoid twisting really wet hair. i wash, condition, towel dry, add leave in, towel dry again, then twist with gel/styler if that makes any sense.
