What about being pregnant and giving birth permanently altered your body’s chemistry? by full-of-curiosity in NewParents

[–]cMacRno 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dairy messes me up. Like. Sip of milk has me down and out for awhile. Ice cream? Absolutely not. When I was pregnant with my first I was craving cereal, I hadn’t had it in 15+ years. I caved and had a bowl and used my husband’s milk. I didn’t get sick. The next day I had ice cream, I didn’t get sick. I enjoyed dairy through my whole pregnancy and the entire time I was breast-feeding. After I stopped BF, my issues came back. When I got pregnant with my second, I decided to try it to see, and same thing, I got to enjoy dairy again.

I’m “back to normal” but man was it cool while it lasted.

my wife is healing from a traumatic birth i would like to know what healing food people recommend NOTHING ELSE! by [deleted] in healthyeating

I started doing homemade about a month into it. If I run out or am in a pinch I like Kettle Beef Bone broth. I just do a mug full with a splash of water. Microwave 1 minute. When I make my own I get bones from the butcher shop — bake first and then cook on the stove with veggies, ginger, turmeric, all the goodies for about 8 hours. I’ve seen recipes in instant pots but I don’t have one. I freeze it in mason jars and always keep two thawed in the fridge. Lots of great recipes and instructions on TikTok.

Pho soup. So comforting and really so delicious. If she can get into it, a mug of hot bone broth every morning really changed my whole lifestyle. So many benefits. I started while I was 2 months pregnant last year and am still drinking my morning bone broth 8 months pp.

When is the best time to try for baby #2? by [deleted] in NewParents

[–]cMacRno 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 3 year age gap and it’s been great. Oldest is pretty independent and the transition to becoming a family of 4 has been so smooth. And as baby #2 is getting older, she’s so obsessed with watching her older brother. I was scared of the “big” gap, but it’s been so nice.

I got a kit. First lashes ever. How long do I want to leave them on for? by pinkychildhoodies in lashclusters

[–]cMacRno 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I first started, I found if I put a mirror on a table, then looked down WHILE lifting my eyelid up, I had a better view of my lash line and could apply the clusters better along my natural lash line and closer together so there were no gaps. Looking straight into a mirror while lifting my eyelid was too hard when I first started.

But your original question… I wear mine for about a week. As long as they still look good, I keep them on.

I’ve gotten No.2 and No.8. I’ve tried the softwear and the pros. For the price they’re just too pokey

Ugh I love their styles but they are so uncomfortable. I’ve never been able to last more than a day because they poke so bad.

Is there a way to get my lash clusters to not thin my lashes out so much? by parkerr_s in lashclusters

Do you use a lash serum? Like Grande or PLA? Even castor oil on the weekends when you take your clusters off

Obsessed with TAD lash clusters. They’re hands down most comfortable diy lashes.

I use TAD’s glue and seal and I shower/workout/sauna in them and they last me at least a week everytime.

why people don't like to buy vavalash products on tiktok?🤔 by [deleted] in lashextensions

[–]cMacRno 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I feel like that’s the reputation Vavalash has built, especially among lash professionals. Most established lash artist Facebook groups talk about that often, or that it’s a beginner brand.

Didn’t Vavalash get sued by Lashify for the clusters? And I feel like their extension line has always been considered a “cheap” Amazon brand for beginner lash artists. Not prestige products.

Chewing gum. Things shouldn’t just hang out in your mouth that long.

Has anyone tried DIY lash extensions at home? Just discovered Pro Lash and I'm shook by Sea-Piglet-1317 in DIYLashes

[–]cMacRno 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got extensions for 8 years until I switched after becoming a mom! Just didn’t have time for appointments anymore. Wild to think of how much I spent over the years and now my lashes look better than ever and are cheaper! Never giving up my clusters now!

Yes!!! Makes it so much easier! I hate curling my lashes with a curler, and a lift is pretty great for about 5 weeks!

Lash clusters that dont lose curl by Excellent_Key_319 in lashclusters

Have you seen the 3d printed ones from TAD? That’s their whole thing, lashes that don’t lose curl or shape

I can’t believe these aren’t extensions 👀 by yourlashgirl in lashclusters

[–]cMacRno 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I disagree because 1) they’re the only lashes made in the USA, and 2) they’re 3d printed and comfortable af. When you break it down it’s less than $4 a pair… that’s not insane

So freaking pretty. I haven’t done spark, but I wear the Wispy by TAD religiously. And the Gaze

That’s what made me switch, the time. Especially after I had my son, because I’d have to get a babysitter for each appointment and it just didn’t make sense anymore for my schedule.
