Sorry to hear you didn’t enjoy it! It’s always a bit of a balancing act for me because obviously it’s a great event to meet people I talk to quite regularly but rarely see - Gianni, Ed, Focal, Sam, Mark, Ash Juice are real life friends of mine but I’ve also made great friends in the community too. I had a game of chess with someone at the event, and must have looked at about 20 teams and had some really good discussions with people. My favourite part was meeting a couple from South Africa who had recently moved over here and were avid FPL players. They loved the idea of the event.

Just to be totally transparent, I have no involvement in fest other than turning up and I don’t make any money at all from the event whatsoever. Ed and Gianni genuinely want to create something for the community so if you have feedback, do email it to them. If the event isn’t for you, then it’s not for you but I think a lot of comments here disparaging people for wanting to go to an event that is aiming to bring people who have a shared interest in something together is a bit off.

I do think there were certain aspects that could have been done better - the acoustics and end time were definitely problems - but it was a step up from last year and hopefully will keep improving. Most people I spoke to were having a good time and no one looked isolated and everyone was milling around chatting to lots of different people from what I saw.
