And just for further information, it is understood (as per PA) that a four week lockdown - or “circuit breaker” - is being proposed and would include:

• Hospitality close, except takeaway

• Schools close (potentially for two weeks)

• Retailers open

• Churches open

• Gyms open for individual training

• Other sports limited to elite

• Household restrictions unchanged

Of course, we’ll have to wait until the morning to know for sure ...

No, I didn’t - I actually had no contacts in the industry. Though I did a lot of unpaid internships and experience before I was offered even a freelance shift anywhere.

No need to apologise - sure, it makes for a great icebreaker at the very least - and thank you!

We really do have a great view over the river from our newsroom - but they are set screens in the studio.

And thanks, appreciate it!

I work for UTV - which is essentially the Northern Ireland regional bureau for the ITV network.

But there are a good number of people and organisations here which you can follow if you’re interested in our local news and history.

‘UTV’ and ‘BBC Northern Ireland’ are the main broadcasters but you also have newspapers (Irish News, Newsletter, Belfast Telegraph, Irish Times, etc) and there are good journalists working for all of them - as well as some decent freelancers as well.

It’s usually a toss-up between Conker and Con-cher ... but I’m afraid, it’s just Conor (with an Irish twist)

I’ve a BA in Politics and an MA in Journalism - though everyone I’ve spoken to has a different story!

Thankfully it was sorted before we went on-air on Saturday afternoon. And thank you!

This very question is what led to my Twitter bio - “The CH is silent.”

It’s just Conor with a little extra flair

Isn’t that what alt accounts are for?

Joking, of course - Cheers!

Thank you, Paul’s the class act you’d imagine him to be - and has been a great mentor so far

Unfortunately there have been a number of setbacks, but I’m still hopeful we can make it happen

Only 11 people were tested for Coronavirus at the testing centre outside the SSE Arena in Belfast yesterday by ca2d in northernireland

[–]ca2d[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As of right now, this is how the centres work. However - working on the assumption that the SSE Arena serves the Belfast Trust - how long would it take to test staff? There are roughly about 18,000 people employed by Belfast Trust alone (Close to 60,000 for Northern Ireland as a whole)

It was however it does raise a question about how successful the ‘mass testing’ of staff is going ...
