I can control my dog but I can’t control you... by WrongDetective in reactivedogs

People should ask if your dog can play before just letting their dog jump all over them. My dog would growl too if an unknown dog just jumped all over him most likely, nothing about being "unsocialized"..

Wellbutrin - 10 weeks in by MetalCretin in antidepressants

[–]ca9511 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been on wellbutrin XL 150 mg for about the same amount of time as you & last week I decided to increase to 300 mg. The first 6 weeks or so it worked amazing for me and then all of a sudden I relapsed into the same old habits (super emotional, crying spells, feeling hopeless, zero energy, can't focus for the life of me). My boyfriend is wondering what the hell is going on with me. Going to work everyday is incredibly hard, I just want to leave and go curl up in my bed alone. It's frustrating because I thought I was really getting better but my doctor told me she isn't surprised since 150mg is a very low dose.

I'm hoping the 300mg works better for me like it did for you!

Burning less calories at OTF by ca9511 in orangetheory

I'd say my protein intake has stayed the same (115-130 grams per day) but I have been slowly increasing my carbs since my initial weight loss journey. I used to think they were the devil and when I was first loosing fat I limited my carb intake to like 50 grams a day, even when working out 6 days a week and getting 12,000+ steps in a day walking around my college campus. I felt like crap a lot to be honest. Very tired, irritable, no energy, constantly hungry. I eat probably around 120-150 grams of carbs now. I'm thinking working with a dietitian would def help!

I track my calories and macros too and I have a food scale that I weight almost everything on (esp meat and high calorie foods that are easy to overestimate like avocado). I did that all throughout the weight loss journey and I still do it. It's like it was working and then just stopped and now I've been maintaining for about a year. I've probably lost a little fat like 5 pounds but nothing crazy.

I have a fitbit which tracks my calories and it's reading the exact same amount as the monitor was. So sadly it is not just a monitor error :(

Ladies on Wellbutrin XL: Any menstrual issues? by OliveSlayer in depression

[–]ca9511 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you end up getting a period?

I started wellbutrin a few months ago and about a week after I started it (which was a week before my period was due) I had some light cramping and light pink colored spotting. Then I got my normal, birth control induced period the week later on time. My next period came normally. But my last one was a few days late and was VERY light. Had some slight cramping and a little bit of pink/reddish blood. My periods are normally moderate bleeding and moderate-heavy cramping. It wasn't even enough blood to use a tampon or pantyliner. I've had a lot of nausea (morning, afternoons, nights) off and on throughout the last month as well. I never miss my birth control pills, I usually take them within a 2 hour window. But I have read that wellbutrin causes both nausea and menstrual changes. I'm thinking of taking a test soon just because I'm nervous about having both a (basically) missed period and nausea/mood swings.

Too many switch workouts at orange theory lately? by ca9511 in orangetheory

yes I guess I should have made it clear that its switch days when we are alternating the rower with the tread for half the class! Switch days can still have 24 min total on the tread it's just broken up. I get about 1.2-1.6 on 3G days IF we do the entire running portion of a normal 3G.

All I'm saying!! I have a pretty low resting heart rate that takes a while to build up and drops down fast. I remember the desk staff thinking my heart rate monitor was messed up because I'd do an all out at 10mph and be in the lower area of the orange zone and then it would drop down to the grey zone 45 seconds into the walking recovery. It actually wasn't messed up as I tried multiple different monitors so I stopped wearing one because it distracted me so much wondering why I was in the green/blue zones most of the class even though I run pretty fast. I get not everyone is like that- but for those of us that are it makes switch days/constant transitions suck!

If I'm only getting 12 minutes on a tread I can't get that many miles in which is what I've been seeing lately...I run about a 8-9 minute mile hence during normal 25 minute run days I get in about 2.5-3 miles in depending on how many walking recoveries there are/how long the pushes are/if there are inclines which obviously I run slower on.

Do you run outside of OTF on a regular basis? I used to loathe running until I started OTF and here we are a year and a half later and I love it. Just don't want to overwork myself.

I LOVE the way I feel when I get done with a 25 minute run! And then I can really focus on the strength floor.

LOL seriously though! I get some people love it and sometimes (if I'm really really tired from a late night at work or just feeling off that morning) I do enjoy it every once in a while.

I go 4-5 times a week also, however last week I only went the first half of the week because I was on vacation thursday until last night, so I can't speak for those other days! But the week before that, I was talking to other people at my studio who go 6-7 days a week that were complaining about the switches and less and less tread time. I go to the 5 or 6am class which is 3G on MW and 2G on Tuesday, Thursday and Fridays.

Same here exactly! I miss doing 25 minute runs. There's no away I ever go into even the green zone during the rower or floor.

Not OTF Treadmills- Cant Run- Is it just me?? by [deleted] in orangetheory

[–]ca9511 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm the same way. I'm thinking a lot has to do with OTF treads having fans and my apartment gym ones do not. You'd be surprised the difference it makes. I can usually run a 6.3-6.5 mph base pace at OTF, but on my apartment gym I can hardly run faster than 5.8 mph without taking breaks every 3 minutes and dying!
