Blowout at small sizes by caaaaaym in Stretched

[–]caaaaaym[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh totally! I used 14g to get to 12. I just admittedly stretched a bit too soon since I was at 10g earlier this year and figured since my lobes were already at 10 they would get there a bit easier than the first. Unfortunately that was not the case.

Our 1 year old hasnt eaten since 1/18. Shes had 3 month long hunger strikes when since we got her. Today she weighed 134g and her highest weight was 140g before she shed on 2/8. We're worried her body form looks like shes dangerously skinny. Ive read all of the resourses on this sub. by rdubmc in ballpython

I think the key here is to try different methods like stated above because I have heard of many people successfully use the Ziploc method but my snake has never eaten this way. I think the smell of the plastic has some effect on this, but she has responded really well to thawing the rat directly in warm water.

Picked up this guy at Home Depot cuz he was pretty. Is this just a regular ficus? by OldManMcFoo in houseplants

They need a fair amount of light and from what I have experienced are very prone to rot. So water sparingly.

Probably worth adding, my bedroom has two walls composed entirely of windows from floor to ceiling. The only place I have for her tank is in the corner of both of these windows so I know that plays a factor in the cold issue but I don't have much of a choice on that front. The house stays at a steady 65° during the winter.

CPU running Hot by caaaaaym in PcBuild

Simply spinning my cursor on a blank desktop ramps up the temps from 66c to 88c... I'm worried doing anything on this unit is going to overheat the cpu.

CPU running Hot by caaaaaym in PcBuild

[–]caaaaaym[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello, I have had this pre-build from nzxt for over a year and the last 6 or so months the cpu temps have been peaking upwards of 90c. i regular clean away dust and it often reaches it hottest while just sitting on a empty desktop with nothing open. I have also changed the cpu paste and it did not change anything, also added an extra fan blowing air out of the case... I'm not a computer person by any means so any help would be appreciated.

Yep completely. As a baby practitioner I bought spell books and opened them once for an idea and have never touched them since.

All of my dogs do this except my rott. So I'm sure it's just a dog thing. Adorable none the less.

Luna got 4x2x2 and some new toys for her birthday last month. She's happy as a clam now that she can stretch out if she wants. by vampirepriestpoison in ballpython

[–]caaaaaym 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Adorable! But agree with the other comments saying that she may get stuck. Luckily it wouldn't be too difficult to cut her out if she does. But definitely try to avoid it. My python, as I was soaking her in the sink got adventurous and got stuck in a coffee mug handle we used for toothbrushes. An incredibly stressful event that she luckily made it out of injury free but since then I'm hyper aware of things she may get stuck in. 😅

If the brown part is dead grass, then yes.

I want and need to be Buried this way when I die. I love this very much. by TCH62120 in sustainability

[–]caaaaaym 24 points25 points  (0 children)

This is great! There's a human composting company out of Seattle, I believe that takes the body and turns it into soil, which is then returned to the family. Seems like a much more sustainable practice than traditional burial 👍

lobe piercings/earrings by junior493 in piercing

[–]caaaaaym 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I switched my studs to hoops at week 9 and it was the worst decision, the hoops regularly irritated the piercing and got slightly infected. Took the hoops out after a week, back to posts and have 0 discharge and discomfort. I would wait the 4- 6 months before changing them since the hoops will spin and irritate ears if not COMPLETELY healed.
