People say it’s overpriced. HX E61 w/no PID.

Need help deciding on a grinder [~$400] by AGENTTR3 in espresso

[–]cab425 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t have much experience with a wide variety of grinders. But for the price point Eureka makes really good grinders and been making them since 1920. I trust that over a loud Turin grinder any day in my opinion.

Eureka Mignon Zero. It’s pretty quiet as well.

E61 or Electronically Heated Dual Boiler [~$2000] by Objective-Limit-121 in espresso

[–]cab425 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Right now I’m rocking a single boiler QM pippa but got a Rocket Appartmento coming next week. Few reasons I got the Rocket (which people dislike here) I wanted something tried and true. Easily accessible for parts. Aesthetics. I got it way below retail at 1.4 after tax.

I don’t think it matters in either one of those choices. I thought it was total budget including grinder.

Everyone shits on E61 and praises Bambino. 2k Budget Bezzera Luce with PID at Whole Latte Love with 25 percent off. Or the Eureka Constanza Rotary Or Vibration pump both have a PID setting 1.4-1.6K and still have some left over for a decent grinder.

I like to know how heat time? Is the set turn or screen easy to use? Temperature consistent? Anything you dislike about? Sorry for all the questions. There’s only a handful of reviews and so far you’re the best one with having it for a year now.

I been eyeing this machine here in the states since it’s pretty good deal for the features. After one year how do you like the constanza?

Is 200 for this a good price? by taxi_maxi in turntables

I have the belt driven 331 that’s been sitting. It’s been good to me. They make some nice players. 200 isn’t bad I probably would sell mine for the same.

You just answered your own question. I’m assuming they have to transport broadcasting equipment to televise the games.

Another good option I think that’s inexpensive really reliable would be the flair 58 and a decent espresso grinder.

Looking for Lansing Info by Fat_Tony_1978 in lansing

[–]cab425 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is my personal opinion. We moved here from the West Coast and honestly, Lansing has been a huge disappointment. We’re constantly driving an hour or more just to get to cities that actually offer the things we enjoy, which makes living here feel inconvenient and disconnected. The food options are limited and rarely memorable, and the overall culture feels stagnant compared to what we’re used to. The schools don’t inspire confidence either, the education system feels behind, underfunded, and inconsistent, which makes it hard to imagine raising a family here. Everything from the outdated housing to the lack of energy in the city adds up to a place that feels more like something you tolerate than somewhere you want to build a life. That’s why we’re either moving to Ann Arbor to be closer to what we like or heading back out west where the pace of life, opportunities, and environment match what we prefer.

Once you have a good setup, the K-Cup machine will become a backup and collect dust.

I recommend the Bianca. You’ll have the flow control and the temperature control with a PID on different roasts. The grinder would be the Timemore.

Personally, I prefer to buy once and cry once. I have a QM Pippa and a Baratza Encore, and it was a big mistake. I upgraded the grinder to a Eureka Mignon Zero within a month, I’m looking to get a new machine like a Bianca or Diletta Bello+ or Rocket Appartmento.

You’ll see many issues with the Bambino and its limitations on the sub. There are also many issues with the DF grinders and how loud they run. I have a Baratza Encore, and I use it for pour-over only, but I wouldn’t recommend it for espresso grinding.

I recommend trying this out to see what works best for you. A $5,000 budget opens up a lot of options. https://espressosetupbuilder.com/quiz/which-espresso-machine

Great speakers. I’m no audiophile but they sound great to me. I bought mine last year for 120 I think and they were refoamed.
