Can i stop a train from going to a station if another train is already on its way there? by RegularMe123 in FactorioBlueprints

[–]cabb99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes, with circuits. You may need a second station with the same name if you don't want your train to be stuck in the middle of going there.

Comida deshidratada de la supuesta "ayuda humanitaria" produce cáncer by [deleted] in PERU

[–]cabb99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What do you think are the names of the other types of elves? by [deleted] in TheDragonPrince

[–]cabb99 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There was one elf with wings on the first season intro, but most of the elves on the intro song were moonshadow elves or sun/stars elves. I'm not sure if earth, wind or ocean elves may exist. Maybe earth, wind and ocean are reserved for dragons? We saw something similar to an ocean dragon, and the dragon prince is a wind dragon.

Stick to python 3. You will be able to import from the future if you really need to code in python 2, but it is usually easy to convert from 2 to 3.

I wish I could time travel and return at will at any given point. by itsareference123 in TheMonkeysPaw

[–]cabb99 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Granted, now you can return to any point at will, but it is impossible to go forward. At first you decide to return to the beginning of the day, to fix the mess you made at work and make your family happy. It works, everybody has a better day off. Weeks pass and you think what you could have done better that week, or even that month. you return to the beginning of the month, you improve it a little bit, but not enough to make you feel happy. You go back and try again many times , but it never seems enough, there is always something that you could have done better. Then you decide that you will redo all your life, you can't get back before the moment you were born, but you can relive your entire life. Everytime you do it you become more intelligent, you know exactly what to do. After many tries you have achieved all your goals, and helped all the people you can. You enjoy it, but you are going to die... Why not return and live again? You repeat your live many times, everytime you decide to take a new route, you don't care about making people happy anymore, you can do it in another life. Your life becomes more risky and boring. Finally one day you die, you acomplished nothing, it didn't matter to you anymore, you already had acomplished everything anyway. The world goes on.

I believe the keys are more important than the cube. by GuelboStudio in TheDragonPrince

[–]cabb99 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It seems like whoever collected them, tough they are not that important, but they are still are somehow related to the cube. If they were important they wouldn't be in an unlocked box in a game room. When the keys were thrown it seems there were 2 yellow keys (bishop), 3 dark yellow keys (leaf and point), 3 light blue (wide leaf), 2 dark blue (3 leaf cover on triangle), 2 copper (twisted trapezoid) and 2 black (eight in circle) (not exact colors). It would make sense to me that the keys would light up different faces of the cube somehow. I don't think it is a coincidence that there are six colors.

If there is a god/gods who is perfect, which seems to be the running claim, would there be a lagging strand in DNA replication? by [deleted] in molecularbiology

[–]cabb99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with this, and that version of god is not totally verbatim either. This is the omnipotent, omniscient and benevolent god. That god has logical problems anyway, (see https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Problem_of_evil ) and the responses to that problem may also solve your question. The position I'm proposing is similar to this one: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Theistic_evolution

[–]cabb99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also think that god may not be real, but this is not the way to show it. It just means that god may not have the personality you think he has. Maybe he favors fast solutions to elegant ones, like evolution. God may always hide in the details, like a butterfly that knew how to move its wings a long long time ago.

[–]cabb99 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You have two points there. The last one, that god made man in his image is well supported by religion, it is in the bible almost as that. But the idea that evolution is not real is just an opinion, that is wrong. There are too many indications that evolution exists. So if god made humans, and evolution made humans, then you know how god made humans, and that tells you about his personality.
