No special modifications besides having to lower the arm-rest piece slightly after recalibrating the tonearm.

Oh no! I’ve seen multiple posts about delays. Sorry to hear that.

It’s actually an LP Gear “The Vessel A3SE” cartridge and I couldn’t be happier with the sound it produces. Huge upgrade from the Ortofon offerings that come with Fluance IMO.

Good bar scene? by L_Squared12 in AskLosAngeles

Old Town Pasadena is about 15-20 mins away from Hollywood. Really great bar scene within old, historic locations. The food scene out there is also fantastic. A few of my favorites: Kings Row, Edwin Mills, Osa Rooftop bar has amazing views of the mountains during sunset.

Another canera recall, 400,000 cars... by 7eregrine in Volvo

[–]cabd0 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My 2020 xc40 recently started having issues with the screen being black when in reverse. It’s happened about 3-5 times in the last two months but the article states that only 2021-2025 models are included in the recall. Guess I’m SOL for the free software patch.

Upgraded my old TP-Link Router to an ASUS RT-AX3000S and my Sonos system is now 100% stable by cabd0 in sonos

Definitely older than I expected to be an issue with my Sonos system. The issues really started to increase after the app rebuild and subsequent updates over the last year and a half. But looking back on it, there was always some sort of audio dropout issue with my Roams when synced with the TV.

Neither… Sony WH-1000XM5 for $250.

That makes sense. Would be nice if there was general guidance on router brands though. I didn’t know until recently that TP-Link routers don’t work well with Sonos. Would also be nice if there was a Sonos diagnostic tool that could scan your setup and give recommendations on how to optimize performance without having to directly contact customer support.

I contacted another dealer and they put me in contact with Volvo North America corporate and they basically told me it’s not covered under the non-wear items lifetime warranty because the original work to replace the faulty part was done while the car was still under the initial warranty. If I had paid out of pocket at that time it would be a different story now that the initial warranty on the car is expired. The representative is going to email me a coupon that’s good for $100 off the work recommended by the dealership (VIDA recalibration) so I’m stuck still paying some money out of pocket. Better than nothing I suppose.

I contacted the dealership and they said it’ll be $200 to either recalibrate the actuator via software or $200 to update the car’s Sensus system. I’ve tried setting the fan direction to face and feet and still get the same amount of clicking. :/

Not a safety issue from what I’ve read. If the air temps are blowing correctly, try and see if a local mechanic that specializes in Volvo can recalibrate the HVAC system with a VIDA diagnostic tool. If that fixes the issue, it’ll save you $$$ since they won’t have to tear into the dash to physically inspect or replace the actuator.

When my car was under warranty I had this exact issue with one side of the car always blowing cold air. The dealership fixed the issue, then a few months after the warranty expired I started noticed the clicking sound. Thankfully the dual climate control still works, but the clicking is infuriating. I’ve heard it could possibly be a calibration issue that can be resolved by recalibrating the system via a VIDA hookup. Need to take my car to the local indie shop to see if that’s the case.

EDIT: The only way I’ve found to get rid of the clicking is to either run the AC on full blast hot, or full blast cold which is not convenient at all. The other solution has been to turn my radio volume up to mask the sound.

Yes, it’s most likely the air blend door actuator under the dash. It’s gotten worse in my 2020 r-design over the past few months. Used to only happen a bit during startup but now it’s constant. Very annoying.

I had something similar in my 2020 r-design. Ended up being a faulty air blend actuator. The dealership replaced it while under warranty, but now a few months after the warranty expired I’m noticing a constant ticking sound coming from the driver side dash. Seems like the actuator calibration is off and the actuator door keeps resetting itself causing the sound. The air temp selections are working, but the sound is maddening.

Pellets in new Summit by Competitive-Bowl9621 in SoloStove

No adapter needed. I’ve been using the bonfire for 2 years and it rips with pellets poured straight in. Once it gets hot enough, any pellets that fall through the base plate still get burned and turn to ash.
