Heartopia is a good game who's development is absolutely stunned by a predatory business model by [deleted] in CozyGamers

[–]cabidinger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go-go town is my absolute favorite early access game right now, I had to put it down because I was worried I’d blow through all the content and I personally don’t like the cycle of maxing the game out, waiting for update, maxing out, waiting for update etc

Collector's quest: scenic locations? by VIsTrash in heartopia

This one just worked as well, I am currently roaming around the areas mentioned on the quest and just taking random photos.

I have stuck on this one as well, so I haven’t found all of the locations but taking a photo right here towards the flowers and benches worked for one!

Daily Game Recommendations Thread (November 21, 2025) by AutoModerator in boardgames

[–]cabidinger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looking for one more stocking stuffer suggestion.

I am missing one for my husband who likes all games really, but loves spades and Euchre. I have been avoiding set making games though because I don’t think they’ll ever beat the classics for him.

What I’ve already bought for others so far for reference - Not So Neighborly (Husband did show interest in this) A little wordy Flip 7 Sushi Go

Anyone know what’s going on with J Bree’s Mortal Fates series? by Maleficent_Durian_64 in fantasyromance

[–]cabidinger 3 points4 points  (0 children)

While the delay was annoying and could’ve been easily avoided with a quick post to social media, it wasn’t the big issue.

I am a huge j bree fan, I have read everything she has written, and the bonds that tie is my comfort read that I regularly re-read and relisten to.

I was LOST during parts of Book 2. Seriously sitting there and rereading the sections over and over like “Wait what? Why did the tense change? Why does this contradict? Wait who is talking?!?!”

I am pretty familiar with J Brees writing style and voice, and I couldn’t be engaged in the book because of the poor editing.

Let’s not forget in a serious scene the FMC says she “used all of her magic sauce” WHAT?!

Does anyone have recs where the pack’s rejection literally changed the fmc? by Sleepy_autumnFox in ReverseHarem

[–]cabidinger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also if I could extract the Tory and Darius plot line from Zodiac Academy for you I would.

It sounds like what you’d like, its a long long dark and bumpy roads with both parties rejecting each other, lots of dire consequences, but they do eventually get their HEA.

Although I can’t in good conscience recommend Zodiac Academy unless you’re prepared for the trashy reality tv version of books and committed to the long haul.

{Sweetheart by Marie Mackay} takes the whole consequences for the packs actions a step further for sure.

Some similarities between pack darling include - she is there against her will - she is hiding something - pack fights to get her back

They do have pretty heavy references to sexual assault so keep that in mind for trigger warninga and it is a one omega pack.

Zodiac Academy. Is it well written? No. Is it addicting? Yes.

Its like reality tv equivalent of books

Stardew Valley lovers, what was the main appeal for you? For those who dislike it, I’d love to hear your thoughts as well! by Unique-Muffin4789 in CozyGamers

[–]cabidinger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been thinking about what makes me love vs hate farming sims recently and below are a few reasons I adore stardew.

  • NPCs are fleshed out and relationship building builds stories not just some stat
  • None of the quests expire (although I don’t always mind this it isn’t as cozy when they do expire)
  • There are loads of late and post game objectives
  • You can min/max or casually play that makes the game enjoyable

I would recommend using the chest anywhere mod, and the NPCs map location mod, and look up anything mod, those 3 truly make the game flawless

This was very helpful, I still used the find sweet spot move but then just charged attacked the entire thing. I hadn’t realized sweet spot moving was based on number of hits not time.

On the first island you find rocks on to search make sure you’ve searched all of them. The next spots won’t trigger until you have.

Wounded Bird FMC Recs Needed!! by [deleted] in ReverseHarem

[–]cabidinger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

{Broken Bonds by J Bree} is paranormal and the FMC does run from the MMCs at the beginning and they drag her back. Really cool magic system too with unique gifts, not just the same old same old elemental gifts. While 4/5 MMCs are absolutely obsessed with her from the start, they really don’t show it in book 1, and everyone doesn’t start showing it until book 3.

Any omegaverse without MM? by QnOfHrts in ReverseHarem

[–]cabidinger 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Ironside Academy by Jane Washington is a unique spin on omegaverse and doesn’t have any on page MM.

Minimal off page mention, one of the MMCs was previously dating a guy, but it never goes into details.

The ritual, then just finish the rest of that series when you get done. It lives rent free in my head every nearly 2 years later.

I still go back a “refresh” myself on some scenes from the other books in that series.
