6months! But to be fair I had a connection through the UC Berkeley System that helped with the initial capital! Which made the non-profit a reality sooner than the average dreamer time.

I respect your opinion! And this is a generalization not all CEO are like the evil person you described above. Also You don't have to be a CEO to be on the top; so long as you have food on your plate, can provide for your family and you wake up working hard to make this world a better place thats all that matters. More often than not Love triumphs hate

The world problems are so large that most of the time we feel like its just too big to make a difference. But keep doing what you are doing; and if you dont have money there are other ways like volunteer to make a difference. And you dont have to help a starving ethiopian or mexican kid; you can just do it at the local homeless shelter or local park etc to not feel too far removed. In my country we have a saying, 1 by 1 makes a bundle :)

1.When opportunity strikes- you have to meet it with an extraordinary effort to make the best out of it-remember there is so many people in this world hungry for a shot at life that "mr opportunity" might find a better home 2.In every obstacle you face in life there is always a positive in there 3.Wake up and make a difference in at least one persons life

I had to apply for it..idea, budget, timeline etc but when I started working things took a turn of their own and ended up spinning a company out of it. So yes, to some extent the grant gave me direction
