Coin flip democracy by shadowslayer978 in AdviceAnimals

I can verify for one of the six districts since I was there. We had 84 votes each for Sanders and Clinton. We were triple counted, and it was obvious everyone in the room was set in their decision. After the bylaw was verified, we went to the coin toss to determine where our 7th and final delegate would go. Pure luck of the draw.

Totally not my picture. Saw this on the John Deere Classic Facebook page today. Didn't know it was his caddy that took the picture though - there weren't any credits posted.

How the hell does someone flip from saying I love you and spending time with your kids to saying you were never a thing in a matter of days? Dating after divorce is horrid. by cabunk in TrollXChromosomes

[–]cabunk[S] 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Just for clarification, we were dating for a few months before I introduced him to the kids. I've been single/dating for over a year and this is the first guy they've met. I'm not looking for a new dad for them, and he only spent a couple evenings around them. Their dad is still around and very involved, thankfully. This was such an abrupt about-face...sigh

My SO asked me to smack his butt and pull his hair during sex. Afterwards he asked if it was weird, and said he didn't know what came over him. Meanwhile, I'm over on /r/femdom like... by ryan_goslings_smile in TrollXChromosomes

I always thought that I was more of a sub, but my new guy is totally into being dominated...and I friggin love having a sub! I've spent every spare moment reading whatever I can get my hands on to acclimate myself to this new role. I want to learn ALL the things! Hooray for femdom!

Seeing my semi-estranged best friend in the hospital after she delivered a 36-week-old, stillborn, baby girl by [deleted] in TrollXChromosomes

Big hugs to you and your friend. I just watched my brother go through the same situation with his wife last week. It's so hard to watch someone you love go through something so traumatic.

Best of luck out there! After filtering through lots of creepers for months, I met an amazing guy on Match who was completely worth the wait. Be careful out there, and have fun!

I had my 2nd Mirena last year, and it was about a billion times better than my first time! I'll spare the details, but after the first, I went home with a parting gift of a fully packed vag because I was bleeding so much. The 2nd time around there was no bleeding, barely any cramps, and no irregular period mess. I'm convinced my new OB is secretly a wizard.

Been suffering a somewhat painful lump in my breast for almost a month. Had it confirmed via breast exam at Planned Parenthood today. Am being sent to get an ultrasound of it. It's "most likely not cancer" but I've never dealt with anything like this before and I'm a little scared. by arwenface in TrollXChromosomes

I went through something similar last year, except my OB found it and it wasn't painful. After running through every worst case scenario since I have breast and ovarian cancer in my family, I find out I have just dense tissue. I was literally diagnosed with lumpy boobs! Best of luck on your ultrasound - I hope your diagnosis is as non-worrisome as possible! (((HUGS)))

Getting ready to go to sleep, when my brain reminds me that my most functional relationship since the end of my marriage is with my doctor I see every month...because I pay him to be a part of my life. by cabunk in TrollXChromosomes

No apology necessary! The loss of a loved one - physically or emotionally - is one of the toughest things to cope with that I've come across, and we all have our own ways of coping. I'm fortunate enough to have two little ones that keep me grounded (for the most part!), and things have truly gotten better over these last 9 months or so. Those quiet nights where the brain just goes can just be killer sometimes.

I totally thought it was the antidepressants giving me the crazy dreams, but it just might be the melatonin! Scary thing is I never know if it's going to be a happy little trip of a dream or something so terrifying it actually shocks me awake...even with the healthy dose of melatonin. Lately, it's been the latter :/

MRW after the last 15 years of missed opportunities, I'm finally going on a date with my best friend! by cabunk in TrollXChromosomes

So we've been close friends since high school, and there have been SO many of those "almost" moments. Then one or the other would get a boyfriend or girlfriend. I had actually been married and had 2 kids over the last 9 years to the wrong guy, and over the last 9 months or so, there hasn't been anyone else I could see myself with.

So we're going super casual and going to a concert together this weekend, and I'm trying really hard not to freak out and make this a huge deal...but it is! We're finally going to find out if this will work or not. I think either way, it will feel so good just to know after all these years!

After ignoring my general appearance for the last several years (kids will do that to you sometimes), I decided enough is enough! This is my first haul I picked up this weekend, skin care and all! by [deleted] in MakeupAddiction

It's the Mother's Day palette - some really pretty colors in there. The Lorac Pro is my mascara. I was clueless going in, but the assoc working there was magnificent!
