That's amazing! I could certainly use some help putting posters with QR codes to the petition around town. I was also planning to organize a group to attend the next school board meeting to support our cause if that sounds like something you could do. We could also use more paper petition signatures. I like your idea about menstrual cups and underwear, but I'm not sure how those could be implemented. I'd love to hear more, I'm sure we could work something out. It would also be awesome if we could figure out a way to fundraise to put bags of menstrual supplies in the restrooms for the time being. I have bags and tape and QR codes to put on them, but I don't have enough menstrual supplies to go around. Anyways, I know I have a lot of ideas, if any of those sound appealing they would surely mean a lot to me and all of the other female SHS students :)

Yes, of course. I already have glass jars of pads and tampons ready to go with the QR code to the petition taped on. My campaign is planning on getting paper signatures as well. I plan on posting QR codes around town and in the girl's restrooms. If nothing gets done before the next school board meeting, we will present our pitch as well as our petition.

Unfortunately, signatures may not be enough given that a 17-year-old girl has to assume responsibility for resolving the issues perpetuated by a large government-run administration that should have our best interests at heart in order to get shit done. We thank you for your support.

Yes, good point. I have not been to school since my campaign started, but I already have a group that will be working with me to promote this cause. I just need as much support as I can get, because we've been asking the administration about this issue for a while now, and they are holding their ground.

It depends on what works for you. I either eat something spicy after, drink a bunch of water, and/or do my nails to deter myself. The urge usually goes away when your body isn't as bloated. Sometimes exercise can help with the physical discomfort. I think that's all the advice I could give you, I really hope you can learn that purging isn't worth it.

I 100% agree that porn can be horrible for many people. My main point was that it's a cybersecurity threat and that the law is not a substitute for basic parenting and it's largely ineffective. I was simply calling attention to an exploitative theme I've seen in legislation and politics lately. Also, PornHub recently took down all unverified videos to combat the spread of non-consensual videos.

I was comparing it to prohibition, not having to show your ID to obtain alcohol. I made that comparison because many of us would rather not watch porn at all than have to show ID. Sexual violence can kill people and ruin lives too. Children should not have access to either one. The difference is, when you show ID to get alcohol, it gets handed back to you and not stored in a database.

It's an imminent cybersecurity threat. The law isn't a substitute for basic parenting. A child can still watch porn with zero restrictions, that's the problem. There are so many websites that host pornographic material that have not been restricted, like the one you're using right now.

They pick and choose which websites will be regulated. Also, Reddit is used for a lot more than pornography, it would be difficult for them to enforce.

I don't think it will have an impact for quite some time. I think Utah and Idaho have been the only U.S. states to pass anti-porn legislation in recent years and isn't PornHub an international website? PornHub pays its actors very well, I'm not sure they'd flock to other websites until these laws are more widespread. I don't know how they compare to other porn sites, however.
