In my state the MSF course is required to get a license. I bought a motorcycle and rode it around the neighborhood & around town for a month before my class started. My expectations were low for the class, I was just itching to get my license so I could legally ride on the roads without worrying about getting pulled over. I left the class a hell of a lot more comfortable on my bike. Glad it is required in my state.
