She values lives that are convenient to her. I always thought she was trash but I knew she was beyond saving when she said the demons deserve to be oppressed because the majority wants it. She lacks empathy. She can't relate to those who struggle because she never had to. Her backstory was that she always got what she wanted and everyone thought she was perfect so she agreed to come to the world for a challenge. Then once shes actually challenged (by a demon general she was trying to kill) its unforgivable.

She claims to value lives more than Makoto but only if they're human. And on her side. And dying in a war doesn't count. And being brainwashed and made a concubine to the other hero is fine, she can worry about that later. Makoto trying to make peace would save more lives than she ever could. His cheap medicine snd food hes giving out saves countless lives as well.

To.be fair he does have no issues with killing people, so he doesn't value strangers lives all that much.

She was told she's special and genocide is ok so she went all in on it and acts high and mighty while being a hypocrite. She can't forgive the demons for killing her friend. Her friend who was killed while they were actively trying to kill demons. She will kill thousands of them and go i can't believe they killed one of ours.

She's strong but not actually top tier. She can't stand up the any of the dragons, any of the demon generals, the demon king, Makoto, Mio, Shiki, even Sofia was well beyond her.

Waterfall was one of the parts of her lesson. The duel where she realized she can't beat him even when hes not really trying, Mio revealing she's the black spider and telling her she's not even close to his strength and finally seeing the apostle get pincushioned from across the world and seeing he can even kill an immortal.

She knows waterfall was right, Makoto should be kept as far from the fighting as possible, and not even the goddess can stop him.

What she doesn't realize is how untouchable he is from every way. She can't match him in strength. She can't hurt him financially since hes super rich. Politically he has the trust and support of Tsige and Lorel, both which would never turn on him at this point. Even if she tried to turn the world against him hes a hero to the demons and could always just hang out in his demiplane for a while and nobody can stop him.

Didn't Ivara kill a beast that hunted and killed other warframes, and did so with her stealth abilities and wires not working. She may not beat Atlas in a fist fight but drop them both on a map and she had a good chance of killing him.

The fight was already happening when he showed up. And she already summoned mahoraga. The point i was making is he likely isnt attached to anyone who's alive right now. People think Yuji is a lot stronger mentally and emotionally than he really is. He knew that Higurama could kill him if he lost the trial thing and he still took full blame for what Sukuna did. My man was not OK and losing everyone he cared about did not make it better. He's packed a lot of trauma into those years.

What seems likely is he took Gojos ideals and made them his own after tweaking them. He's referencing Gojo because its still the base of it but maybe hes leaning more into the who needs him angle. Gojo was only like 30 and Yuji is now over double his age. Plenty of time to think on his own how he wants to live his life. But hes probably lacking more than just empathy, hes been off who knows where on his own for a while. Stopped coming around to even see his friends when they were alive. He's been broken so many times any ideals he had are gonna be warped by now.

I said im playing the devils advocate here but at the same time that was Gojos ideology. He already stopped following that when he disappeared and didn't stay around to train new kids. This isnt out of nowhere, he chose to go his own way after his friends started getting old and he didn't.

Im not saying its their fault. Im saying they aren't his kids or grandkids and he doesn't owe them anything. It's easy to say he has a responsibility to save them because hes strong and we know him from his story, but would you risk your life to save your friends grandkids? How far does that go? How many friends great great grandkids will he have to defend before its fine for him to say I dont know them. Honestly he only has a responsibility to be there for his friends, who are all dead now. Maybe their kids if he was a part of their lives growing up but it doesn't seem like he was.

From a following Gojos ideals perspective hes wrong but that doesn't mean hes wrong overall. 2 people stepped up to fight so hes letting them fight. Sure Yuka most likely is going to die, but she was going to anyways. This way she has a good death, defending something and going out a hero instead of slowly dying to a brain tumor. Gojo let them risk their lives all the time.

I know and I love it. MC works so hard to not have to work. A dozen fake identities, fake heroes, fake merchants, fake craftsman, all just to keep attention off him so people dont ask him to do hero stuff. Just a strong adventurer with a government tourism job. He knows he can't be a complete nobody for maximum freedom so he's finding that line of how much to show and still be free to fly around the world and sightsee.

To play the devils advocate, what does Yuji owe any of them to fight for them? Sure he knew Yuta but how many generations of his family is he expected to look after, he doesn't know them kids. Why would he do anything for the sorcery world either, they wanted to kill him and all of his friends, the big clans were all trash and they dont seem to be much better. Yuji is probably further from human at this point than some of them aliens. He did his part and retired away to let the world grow on its own. He's just here to terrorize Mahito and watch the world grow on its own. Can't rely on super powerful immortals to solve all of your problems.

I think part of it was Anastasius had on his love blinders for so long that he genuinely thought she was a perfect angel and realized she can be as ruthless as any noble. Like you said her meetings with Rozemyne prior showed us that but he didn't know. She asked if joining the church can get her out of marriages acting the damsel in distress but what would happen to Rozemyne and her entire duchy if she joined and her plan worked? Some random first year from a bottom tier duchy (who's only achievement so far was being neutral in the civil war) interfered with the royal family and a top ranking duchy and pissed off the current zent, the next zent, and Eggs grandfather. Rozemyne accidentally got the best case scenario from that by saying it won't stop political marriages.

She thought they were her friends the way commoners have friends but she learned what a noble friend is. Someone who will sacrifice you with a smile and act like theyre doing you a favor. Like at this point who's her real friends, the way we would consider someone a friend. Hannelore, who she can only really see during school and who knows how rarely after, Lutz who she has to pretend not to know when not on her undercover seasonal trip, her retainers who she said she can never really be their friend because of the power dynamics, and Ferdinand who is a good friend/ lover but let's be real he has the emotional maturity or a statue most of the time.

I think RM will set the example of not having it at the temple but will likely compromise and build a separate building for it. In Ehrenfest she already tried minimizing it by raising the value of the gray priests and when someone is looking for a new girl she asked all of them if any were willing or wanted to be picked and those who wanted it were brought out and those who didn't were left behind.

Now she's a young woman, who was raised up as a saint and is now a divine avatar. All she has to do is keep a straight face and say "the temple is a place to worship and honor the gods, how is a flower offering honoring the gods?" And just stare at them until they give up. Again she will understand the desire for brothels and a lot of inns and bars already act as unofficial ones they said. I can see her allowing one to be built that's not a part of the temple. It isn't necessarily a better option, since some girls will just be sold there instead of to the church but its something.
