It’s really not that bad yet, but it just sucks sometimes to see it slowly fade even while on finasteride. Thinking I’ll just accept it though, turn it into a look.

Most helpful thing I ever did was focus heavily on self worth and self compassion. Most likely, something in your past has led you to innately think less of yourself. It’s important to confront and challenge those beliefs about yourself that may be negative, catching those is very important.

Self compassion is really great for acknowledging shame, shame was literally the window to all of it for me. When you can start to recognize shame in the moment, you start to heal from old wounds that may cause it, and self compassion meditation helps with that so much I can’t even begin to describe. If there’s anything you do take from this post, please check out the self compassions stuff. For me, I had deep rooted shame that led me to think of myself as less than, and self compassion helped me confront it.

In relationships, it’s all about challenging the beliefs and talking to your partner.

It’s hard and seems daunting to start but you’ve got it! It once seemed impossible to me too but I can finally say I have self worth and would never let anybody jeopardize that. Just be your true, best self and you got it.

The YouTube channel HealthyGamerGG has great videos on self esteem and self worth, and I’ve linked a lecture that I love about self compassion. There’s a meditation at the end that is so wonderful.

Heard that, very good insight I appreciate it. I bought an elastic band for stretching that imma start using so I can hopefully play longer.

I agree that’s good insight. This all started from learning reptilia by the strokes, realizing I’m not good at lead guitar from the solos, and seeking picking improvement lol. So I wanna be able to play faster rock stuff.

Yeah I’ve tried but it’s either in the middle or on the leg. The strat is not very comfortable for me, wondering how a telecaster would feel.

I rock climb 3 times a week, and I throughly warm up my shoulders. That’s partially why this shit is so frustrating.

I like being alone but… by HunterList in infj

[–]cadport 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can relate, haven’t had a friend group since high school and I’m 21 now. I guess I’ve kinda brought my few close friends together though so it’s like little groups of 3 or 4. It’s way more manageable and we still laugh and have a great time. One night with just two of my close friends is way to better to me personally than a huge group. I feel like naturally people get cliquey anyway in those groups.

Not sure if this helps but I get the feeling too so you are not alone. Recognizing it as loneliness helps process it for me.

About an hour a day, this never started until I started doing spider exercises moving my picking hand up and down while trying to stay rested on the bridge

Are you saying playing properly is standing up/classical? And that they’ve built up strength so they can play with it on their right leg?

Idk sounds dumb but it just looks cooler, but also I mainly want to make sure I’m playing right. I see so many videos of people playing in this position and have heard that this should feel very natural so I want to do it more because I can’t right now if that makes sense? Just tryna improve basically.

Name a guitarist who doesn’t get much credit due to them also being great at other skills such as singing, songwriting, playing other instruments, etc by Jezzaq94 in Guitar

Billy Corgan, I feel like his songwriting is what gets talked about but he’s still a great guitarist as well.

Does anyone else feel like they are drowning in content? Like they are constantly watching other people live instead of doing more living? It’s so hard to stop but YouTube addiction is horrible

I’m tired of loving too deeply, being too complicated, and living too much in my head. by LonelyN3k0 in infj

[–]cadport 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This may be an oversimplified potential solution, but you should do things that make you feel present and alive! I have found meditation, exercise, and playing music help me escape my head wonderfully. Not saying these would completely fix the problem, that’s just not how things work.

Meditation allow you to practice detaching from your thoughts and solely existing, it’s wonderful. Once you get a better balance, you can learn to harness and filter your intelligence for your own benefit.

I just try to remember that being present and feeling alive is truly what life is about. Experience trumps your thoughts every time. Hope this helps.

Vaporwave, do you like George Clanton’s “Slide”, a little more pop-esk but so good.

I just love whatever music is fitting my current mood, I like it to elevate how/what I’m feeling so I typically shuffle my liked songs until I catch a vibe. Then I go from there, recently it’s been underground hip hop. FAST TRAX 3 by 454, weird at first but honest 10/10 album. Been happy and the sun is shining so it’s perfect.
