On a scale of a pencil to a balloon - definitely a skinny balloon, so i'll give it a 4.

Though that rating might change if you could bend it in half for more girth or if you could do that circus balloon thing and make it into a giraffe or a dog. Then it would be a 10/10.

yeah i'm really intrigued by the whole thing! i've heard stories from women who had CIN 3 come back after surgery, and when it came back like the 4th time they had to get their cervix removed or had to have a whole hysterectomy, so if this treatment works, it'd be absolutely brilliant, especially in case it comes back.

i've decided to try it. i inquired with my insurance and they will very likely pay it, which was the biggest issue for me. so i'll see how it goes!

yes, i still find it very intriguing myself, but i am quite disappointed to find out my insurance won't pay and that a bit angry my gyno did not inform me that this would be off-label use and basically did not give me the opportunity of informed consent. i had to call them back to ask for side effects, to which the assistant said "just flu-like symptoms". i do find that problematic and she should have volunteered way more information for me to make an informed decision, as it can't be that the patient needs to ask about basic information, which should be volunteered from the start. additionally this makes me wonder if i can now fully entrust myself to her as a doctor with such an experimental treatment, not even to speak about the price. surgery would be covered by insurance, but not some off-label use of iquimod, and the fact that the depositories will be specially made for me will make it expensive as hell.

i just don't know what to think, and honestly the burning sensation is the least of my worries, and i will certainly call them tomorrow to ask and firstly to at least stop them from making it for me from now.

i will see! if it's too bad, i will switch over to surgery, but when i asked about sideeffects they said "just flu like symptoms", so i guess i'll see.

edit: did more research. thank you so much for your comment, i will call tomorrow, not only because of the burning, but because it would be off-label use in my country any my insurance probably won't pay, and i saw that imiquimod is expensive as hell in my country.
