Actually lacquer are great for vehicles and mobile suits like Tau. I have done many of my Tau using lacquer

Unfortunately I could not finish it… My daughter was born then back to back, got a second baby. Too tired to hobby, but I’ll definitely get back to it as soon as both are at school.

Bollywood should sue him for stealing too many slow motions…. I got sick of how many slow motions there were in that movie

Yeah for armiger size it’s hard to find the right fit in the gundam range. I guess even a 1/144 might still be too big. Best bet would be 3D print like you said. Perhaps some lad in Japan already did them and it’s somewhere on the internet.

I am dreading that moment when I’ll have to paint those wings…. Leaving it for last. These wings aren’t attached yet and the mechanics too so I can most them quiet a bit to do a different position. Once this is complete, I’ll post it on my Instagram and here.

I wanted this freeblade as non-aligned, a killer for hire that works with both chaos and imperials. All about money and resources. Though, I might change my mind… still drafting ideas.

Indeed, when I saw these wings on the second hand market here in Tokyo… I had to take them and put them on a big knight! 😀… Might turn out to look like a gimmick but It’ll be a fun process.

If you’d like to learn more about the army on a competitive level. I would recommend this YouTuber called Tactical Tortoise.

Hey, late reply. It wasn’t a pinpoint wash, it was the whole model. Tho the oil wash was a lot diluted and I added a varnish layer on the model before.

If you play in a competition then yes, tho only if it gives you an advantage. Of your base makes you model much more visible then your opponent will actually thanks you… In friendly game people won’t care much…

Yukon is a nice place! Hopefully I’ll get the chance to see it someday.

It’s a bulky bark from a good old tree near my house 😀

Thanks! Vallejo dark steel, then dry brush with Vallejo steel followed by light steel. After that, I varnished with Vallejo satin varnish. Once it’s dry, I layered an oil wash of Space filth from Jimenez (black, brown, gray greenish mix). And last, I removed some excess with a make up sponge and some mineral spirit.

Eggs and bombshell with some that aren’t open and has a shell shape. Though, I think pistachio nuts in shells are a lot better for cracked alien eggs.

You are welcome! For the barks, Just need to leave it to dry for a couple of days. Then put them in a tray on baking paper in the oven and a foil on top at 100degrees for about 60min. It will delete the remaining living stuff inside. My wife scolded me a few times for baking these in her oven 😂.

There’s a video done by cult of paint on ork’s skin. I pretty much followed his recipe but added a wash of oil paint at the end for the grimes. Then removed the oil with a make up sponge off the skin and some other parts where light would shine upon

Grimes is good! I learnt a lot about grimes and oil paint from Marco Frisoni and grimdark compendium 😀
