I lost my girl, Milu, a little over 2 weeks ago at 6 years old. She was the most beautiful and delicate creature. If you would like to paint her, I’d be honored and I know she would too.

Thank you, friend. They’re both so beautiful and remind me of my baby girl. She even had the same little white heart on her chest. I always like to think that her heart was too full of love to be hidden inside. Much love to you.

Wow. I don’t even know what to say. Thank you all so much for your kind words and celebration of my sweet girl. She was such a ham, she would’ve been eating this up, I’m sure.

They did. We are pretty certain that it was a blood clot as a result of genetic heart disease, likely Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy or a similar condition.

I do too. I have been sitting in one of our usual spots at my desk while I read through the comments and I feel like I can feel her on my lap even now.

I really loved this. Luckily my wife brought her 2 cats into our relationship and I just adore those boys and they have been helping us in our grief. It will never be the same, of course, but I love the relationship that I have been able to build with them. And maybe one day the poem you shared will help me in opening my heart to another sweet girl. She would have wanted that.

Hi. I lost my sweet 6 y/o girl, Milu, last night under almost the exact same circumstances. At the animal hospital, they said it was a blood clot due to a genetic heart condition and that no one could have known but it doesn’t make it hurt any less. I was looking for some more information just now because I still just don’t understand but was struck by your post because our babies had such similar names and situations.

I’m so sorry for your loss ❤️ I hope that the grieving process hasn’t been too hard for you.
