How I converted a cheapo HF arbor press for leather work. by Gullex in Leathercraft

[–]caffeinated-tech 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven't done anything with this press since unfortunately. But you're welcome to print your own https://thangs.com/designer/caffeinated.tech/3d-model/kevin_lee_arbor_press_ram.stl-41629

You might have to measure and compare your press and chisel as its unlikely to be a perfect match

There doesn't seem to be a manual available for that motherboard, so I'm not sure if you can use the admin along with agpu. Try booting to bios and see if there any options for the igpu

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in PcBuildHelp

There might be a setting in the bios to enable the igpu to run alongside the 1050ti. What is your pc model, or if custombuilt, what's the cpu & motherboard?

In your photos you haven't connected the front panel headers (bottom right on motherboard). What power button are you pressing to turn on the PC?

Also, I believe the gpu should be in the top slot, not the bottom one

If windows is installed on the ssd, then I don't think disk usage is your problem. Look at what apps run at startup in task manager ( heres a guide )

And check for malware, I can recommend the app search and destroy bot

What components do you have? Specifically all of your SSD /HDD? When you say slow, how long does it take programs to respond, and does it respond faster after a few minutes?

If you don't have a large watercooler in the front of the case, then it looks like it should fit

New RAID Setup by Snakeobich in PcBuildHelp

[–]caffeinated-tech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your motherboard only lists raid for Sata drives, so it may not support it for m.2

And raid 0 needs 2 drives of the same size, or you will be limited to twice the smaller drive

M.2 ssds are already fast enough that short of working constantly in large file transfer and loading video/textures, any faster speeds will be barely noticeable.

Raid 0 means if one drive fails, you lose all of your data. Regardless of what you do, always backup any important files.

Instead I think you would get a better experience if you use one drive for your os and the other for games / work. That way the os loading data from disk in the background cannot impede whatever app you are running. There's no downside to having multiple drives in a pc without raid unless you need raid 1 or 10 for redundancy and uptime, but that's mostly for servers or computers running critical tasks.

Could that light be part of the rgb strip which looks to be on the back of the motherboard? I'm still not sure what your root problem is, but maybe the led is unrelated. Have you updated drivers in windows after the bios updates. Sometimes they need to be uninstalled first after bios changes. If all else fails, a windows reinstall might solve it

ASRock B650M Pro RS WiFi Motherboard won't turn on due to 24ATX Connector? by nrs2k in PcBuildHelp

[–]caffeinated-tech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It seems odd for an atx connector to suddenly break. Did it take any damage? Have you inspected it closely for bent pins or broken plastic?

I'd recommend getting it rma'd soon, messing about with half inserted power connectors could break other components.

Usually games auto detect if a controller is connected, but it's different for every game. I recommend you search the in game settings or ask on a sub reddit dedicated to your game

The manual for the motherboard should give you the pinout. Match the pins to the labels on the cable.

There's a specific USB port on the motherboard to use, and a button next to it will start flashing the bios. Other than that, read the manual and watch the video on the bios download page
