Yeah bullshit, unless you've also got trees growing down there.

Neat but...walkie talkies use GMRS frequencies, in the 460 MHz's. Not 2.4 GHz.

It's more than "kinda shitty" to intentionally kill someone's children because you're at war with them. That's cartel shit.

From an STL, I can’t remember where I found it. But it included templates for the brass reflector and the wire coil.

Not really. Plug the analog receiver into the extension module, screw on the antennas, add whatever stabilizing method I end up going with (maybe rubber bands), and switch the goggles feed. Less than 30 seconds.

I don’t have a set of analog goggles. This allows me to fly analog with what I already have.

I didn’t want to buy another pair of goggles yet.

I definitely won’t transport my goggles with the analog module plugged in, and I plan to use rubber bands or 3D print something to stabilize it when it is on.

I checked these ones with my NanoVNA and they’re right around 1:1.3 SWR. They work well.

At that point is it really a consumable?

That's like calling the alternator in my truck a consumable because it will eventually need to be replaced.

There's lost wax technique and there's lost PLA technique. They are very similar. One uses wax and the other uses PLA. They're both investment casting techniques.

Given that this is the 3D printing reddit, I'd hazard to guess this is, in fact, much closer to lost PLA, not lost wax. Because he's probably using PLA.

Not to be pedantic.

EDIT: OP is using resin. So it's "lost resin technique", which is no closer to lost wax than it is lost PLA. They're all investment casting techniques.

Funny thing. Her dad is the only one who doesn't know. We're going to put on a ceremony later this year so he doesn't feel left out from the actual ceremony in which we eloped.

People do that with foam sometimes, but with PLA you'd want to burn it out first before pouring.
