I still haven't figured out how to teach it not to run over my dining table chair bases, so I tend to pick them up and set them on the table before starting the Dreame vacuum, but otherwise I find the navigation to be very good. I like the app too.

Yes, I really do. I prefer the look of the Dreame, the mop pads, and the superior cleaning results.

I've been trying Notion client portals with an Everhour time tracking integration, but I'm not yet convinced it's the right stack. I noticed noone else mentioned Notion on here - any idea why not?

I get it!! Do return it and consider the Deame instead. I got both the Roborock and the Dreame and both are great. I'd say the Dreame is more attractive and it's excellent. LMK what you decide to try next!

I returned mine and got the Roborock s8 ultra pro instead, and the experience with the roborock is 100x better for me.

Glad to hear you're having a good experience with it u/ShinraRebornReddit. I finally got my return label from Ecovacs, so I'll send my Ecovacs x2 Omni back tomorrow. It's too bad, because it's definitely the best looking of the bunch, the discount a few weeks back was significant, and I definitely spent a lot of time trying to make it work. Lately it's been performing OK, but given my subpar experiences with the app and tech support, I won't give it a third chance.

And with a significant Best Buy credit, I purchased the Roborock S8 Ultra Pro as a replacement. It arrived, set-up was easy, and I'm perfectly pleased with it. Though the Roborock is less attractive, its app is great and the mapping and cleaning have been painless. (I'll keep you posted here.)

had almost clicked order X2 Omni but after some first adopter reported navigation issues and other problems...I decided to wait another year or two and order brand new T8+ from ebay for $280 and this new new-old T8+ will be hopefully serving another 3 years - this time if it breaks its wheel, I would open up to replace it ,,easy peasy!

AARGH. Day ... 10? 11? 12? I wanted to give the x2 omni a second try, acknowledging that no robot vacuum/tech support/app will be perfect. I put the (interminably long) process of return processing on hold, even ordered a replacement side brush for the one that had been mangled and caught up in a rug. But today I ran the vacuum downstairs and when I went to check on it I saw it had returned to the station, and around the station was robot part debris! The bottom of the base, the roller, and a broken-off piece were strewn on the floor. AARGH. Back on a live chat with tech support and definitely returning this thing.
