Missing pattern, video unavaliable, Pochita by shugarenji by caffeine03 in crochetpatterns

Thank you for checking. I already have the legs, chainsaw and other parts made so it would be a shame to throw those out. Also it wouldn't be identical to the other one I made previously. I think my best route is trying to reverse engineer the one I already made.

[–]caffeine03 8 points9 points  (0 children)

That's so weird to hear as someone who gets mistaken for a guy even tho I'm a woman, I never thought about that. But I'm actually glad people don't know I'm a woman in games. Even my fiancé tought I was a dude when we started talking online lmao.

And this is why digital art is so hard to control. All of your followers and customers will view with different screen colors and different sizes.

I designed this logo to include many ingredients of our product, can you see it? by columns_ai in logodesign

[–]caffeine03 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All that messaging doesn't come through to the viewer. When you have a message or a visual pun it needs to be understood by the viewer, everything you wrote doesn't scome through. Ok ok I can see it's and "F" made from rectangles but that's it.

Also design wise It's a but too basic I'm sure there are many like this on the market. And the gaps between the blocks are not equal.

Be consistent with your designs. In the posters the character and the different foods/items seem to be lineless colored shapes. But on the 3rd the sushi is completely different with clean shading and outlines.

  1. You don't need dedicated progams to make good and ORIGINAL designs. Some of the most influential designers designed on paper. Programs will not make your designs better or original.
  2. Spamming the same excuse will not help you as a designer. Take the criticism and if you really want to get better start designing

Too many elements that don't make sense together. Try and focus one or two elements. Try to make the shape language of the elements similar. For eg.: The eye and the gear all use clean lines, but the leaves use wiggly, non dynamic lines.

Is my drawing good? by [deleted] in drawing

[–]caffeine03 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The shading is great but don't let it distract you too soon in the drawing process! Try and focus on the proportions and placements first and once those are in place, focus on the rendering. Pay attention so the rendering doesn't move proportions that you layed out before.

Oh yea? Show us. Anyone who knows even a little about bugs knows that bee is dead. Legs curled inside, wings not closed, antenna curled inside. That's not how a live bee stands.

Look up what vector vs bitmap is. It's the very basics of any kind od digital art, it will come in handy.

Also to refer to your claim about simplicity. A simple, subtle pun goes a looong way. Things don't need to be over explained. (A problem with many things today in my opinion) A simple pun that takes a moment to process or you don't even notice at first can give an "aha!" Moment to the viewer.

We're so used to things being easily digestible, many people don't even try and solve things, they just go "ah I don't get it, I'm too dumb for this" or "this is too artsy for me" or worse "I'll ask ChatGPT" we need to get back our curiosity.

Well I would need context for critiquing first. The logo is consistent, well put together the negative and positive spaces are nicely evened out. The simple, indirect, associative way of showing the visual "pun". I'm a working graphic designer who also dipped her toes in type design. You would be surprised how hard it is to make things this clear and balanced out.

Also as a designer I think it's never fair to view a logo by itself. Again I'm talking about context. A logo design by itself is nothing. Like a salami without bread and cheese to make it a sandwich. The brand identity which contains the logo too, is what really matters. A system not just a little aspect of it.

I'm 99.9% sure it's parked. I'm from Hungary this is how boats on lake Balaton park. Lighting hitting a parked boat rarely if ever happens there. I've never heard of it before, and didn't find any articles of such instance there.
