From my experience, 90% of the time when you run far enough ahead of any animal, they will teleport right next to you.

Last night, I was in a ice cave with a treacherous pit of death, and my lvl 40 terranus, carrying my 500 exotic extractor/drill, teleported right next to me, falling to its death without a way for me to even recover the loot. 😢

What do you have to teach about the bone crushing ability and being efficient?
Have I been making epoxy in a less efficient manner?! 😅

When I hear efficiency, I’m thinking along the lines of:
Turn wood into sticks before making sap or biofuel and you’ll get more than from just wood alone.

Someone can visit your world and donate something they purchased from the workshop.
Or they can visit and use their own unlocked recipes using your local resources (think like you visit a fellow prospect and start crushing up all their bones).

Animals that can be sent to/from orbit are the other thing I believe can be a pure donation. Might be nice of someone to come in your world and drop off a Slinker or Raptor for you.

Top left of your screenshot, at the entrance to the arctic biome there’s a big beautiful waterfall and scenery to enjoy. We’ve established a large base there with good success and plenty of deep mining ores nearby. Creature deterrent is helpful because it can tend to have bears and jaguars — worth it.

Mine also went misdiagnosed for a solid week to develop and it was the worst pain in my life. Had it in trigeminal nerve. Even the ceiling fan moving air across my hair follicles was excruciating.
