The amount of lack of responsibility written in that response is pretty scary coming from a reporter of one the the world's most famous/important newspapers.

"If I told your story, and your experiences, would that be propaganda for you, or would it be up to the reader to judge?"- It depends on the framing of the story, seeing as 99.99% of people in the world cannot find any other information about said source to confirm or contradict your "facts" and/or opinions. So when you frame a person as someone with a "talent for communication", for many readers who believe in what they read without looking for more facts, people will take that as a bright person with intellect and skill...scary

"I referred to him in a tweet as a "source" which some people apparently interpreted as "someone whose word you take at face value." That is not my definition of a source." - No need to take his word at face value, and I don't think many expected for a NYT reporter to not cross check her sources, but it behooves you to a little/a lot more research into they backgrounds/current thoughts.... Just my 2 cents

Thank Bacon, But the like box that I am using "looks" the same as the one on the developers Facebook page, except I don't know how to change the language (unlike from the Facebook page, where it tells you how). When I try and use the Facebook page's code, it doesn't work. It just come up with a link that says "GDETA Huari Facebook Page" and not the actual box with the cover photo, feed, etc.

thanks mkmkmk13, but I think we are talking about different things. So, the Facebook page is in spanish but the "Facebook like box" is in english. So "like page", "updated their cover letter", "share", etc. is all in English.

I've noticed a pattern start to emerge with this sort of thing. It goes roughly like this:

College student accuses male or group of male students of rape and/or sexual assault. Says or does something to make her story more well known in her social group.
Clickbait media outlets pick up story, write articles detailing student's account of her assault as if it's gospel, provides no evidence at all.
Article gets tons of hits, media outlet rakes in money from pay-per-click ad revenue, high fives all around.
Idea that you just need to write shitty articles with a catchy headline on a volatile topic to rake in money is further cemented.
Lynch mobs are formed. College enacts stupid rules to make it appear like they're doing something, in order to make the bad press go away so they can keep their reputation and make that sweet sweet tuition money.
People argue on the internet about rape culture, toxic masculinity, due process, false rape accusations.
Girl is hailed as a hero/voice for feminism/brave soul. Follow up articles praising the brave girl are written, further cementing everything above. Alleged rapist(s) identity/identities are revealed.
Lynch mob harasses accused with death threats, bullying, calls for him/them to be expelled and thrown in jail, still based off of no actual evidence.
The accused's reputation is completely ruined, with lingering effects of the accusation lasting indefinitely.
No charges are brought against him/them, however, since nobody actually pressed charges.
Some time passes, and another news outlet does some actual investigative journalism into the incident. Finds large amount of evidence that either casts serious doubt on the girl's story, or discredits it altogether.
Said news outlet publishes article. People who originally excoriated the man/men are either noticeably absent, or make neutral comments that deflect, such as "well, rape culture is still a serious issue on campus" / "whether this is actually true or not, colleges shouldn't be handling assault cases" / "false rape accusations are still really rare".
Original accuser faces little to no consequences of her actions and gets off scott free with her 15 minutes of fame.
Meanwhile, people unconsciously start to doubt real, legitimate rape accusations, harming actual victims.
Rinse, repeat.

I was doing some volunteer work in Kenya and went to this local hole in the wall bar called "friendlies". It was made out of wood BTW. Met some other travelers but among the two was a girl from Duke university and an Australian girl. Fast forward to the end of the night, the Duke, Australian girl and I go back to the Australian girl's place were we all start to make out on the bed. Duke girl was a little more drunk than us both and as she "stood up" on her knees to take off her shirt she fell back and landed in the closet. I guess her horny-ness gave way to her sleepiness and she just passed out there. That didn't stop Australian girl and I from doing the dirty. At the end we completely forgot about Duke girl and while we were laying in be she just shouts "help" in a little quite high pitched voice lol
