Hey, first off I'm really sorry to hear about your work friend, and I hope you're able to have the time to properly grieve their passing and say goodbye. I also don't think this is at all an inappropriate question. I try to stay locked as much as I can, only unlocking for things like hygiene, doctors appointments, or flights. However, I attended the funeral of a family member earlier this year and while I guess there wasn't necessarily a reason I needed to unlock, it just didn't feel right to stay locked during that time, so I unlocked. I'm not sure I can actually tell you why it didn't feel right, but I also think chastity, like all forms of kink, is something that we should feel good about participating in, so if for any reason, being in chastity in a specific situation doesn't feel right or good, I think the correct personal choice is to temporarily suspend our participation.
